QUOTE(i_love_japan @ Mar 3 2009, 05:17 PM) TS, thanks a lot for sharing. very useful guide indeed. i think i pushed until i can feel motherboard wan to breakizit possible to get this pinned up? there is nothing wrong with ur ram. u'll need to apply some strength when u push in ur ram into the ram slot in order for the clip to clip on the ram and secure in place. after put inside it, my pc keep restart after few second(u can hear the noise"beep" every 5 sec) my 1st RAM was 677 kingston value RAM then i buy another(same brand and frequency, also value RAM but looks smaller(shorter)) is that not compatible? QUOTE(Aaiyaa-its-me-lah @ Mar 4 2009, 10:21 PM) these heatsink varies, it depends on ur mobo, some r already equipped with a good 1, n some don`t really need to modify unless u overclocked it, but usually if u overclock it im sure u`ll choose the good mobo, which they already equipped it...some even dont have much space for u to put, u better check with ur mobo vendor or ask the salesmanQUOTE(thken @ Mar 5 2009, 02:18 AM) i think i pushed until i can feel motherboard wan to break mounting the RAM needs a little strength, that is the RAM error problem, try to reinsert the RAM properly, make sure all the legs r seated properly n the clip is locked, try to push in as hard as u can, dont hold ur mobo while u insert ur RAM, put it on a balanced surface, like the mobo`s box, not a hard surface, den push it inside, if really cannot, make its ur RAM faultyafter put inside it, my pc keep restart after few second(u can hear the noise"beep" every 5 sec) my 1st RAM was 677 kingston value RAM then i buy another(same brand and frequency, also value RAM but looks smaller(shorter)) is that not compatible? i plan to install a new sound card on my PC.
but when i tried to remove the old one, it is so tight embedded in the PCI slot. and i'm afraid if i use excessive force, it might break my sound card and the PCI slot. is there any special techniques to easily remove the sound card? how do i know i'm not pulling the card too hard? has seen a lot of vid in youtube, but i guess i'm still not confident enough. |
