QUOTE(vearn27 @ Mar 8 2009, 12:31 AM) I had view the HP DreamColor LP2480zx Professional Display few times already... the specification offered really interesting and it's LED backlite as well But I wonder why you said the graphic card must equipped with DisplayPort? What features that you mentioned only supported by those designer graphic card? Care to elaborate more? I'm using an 8ms panel and not experiencing any ghosting at the moment, I don't think 12ms will be affected by ghosting problem? Hi, Your graphics card must be those in this line. http://www.nvidia.com/page/workstation.htmlhttp://ati.amd.com/products/workstation.htmlDisplayport provides highest bandwidth compare with DVI. My good old NEC is 16ms, still OK not much ghosting issue.

Yeap, I know about designer (workstation) graphic card range, but I just wonder if there is any downside if I'm using normal gfx such as 4850 or 4870 on the mentioned LCD? Or actually the built is not mean for normal desktop graphic card at the beginning? I read news that ATi will ships future graphic card with DisplayPort, lets see how this will be in the coming Well, I'm just looking for a decent LCD that I can use on my workstation, for movie, gaming or perhaps PS3 gaming. I prefer towards color and picture quality over the response time thingy as I felt 2ms don't make any big deal over 8ms, 12ms or 16ms. Says if the price of the LCD affordable within my range, I don't mind paying little extra to get it. But I'm like concerned if the LCD actually not mean for normal user, for example loads of features and settings to be done.

I have HD4870 running on my PC paired with LP2475w through DisplayPort. Since the LP2475w still far behind than LP2480zx I can't comment on the picture quality. The best is you e-mail to HP & ATI/AMD regarding the ideal setup that you want, from the technical specs seems like HD4870 can support but I never anybody has this setup. Please bare in mind that LP2480zx can cost more than RM8K in here.

Forget about LP2480zx as it is not relevant for normal home users, unless color accuracy is so important to you or your job that you need to fork out nearly RM7k for that LCD. NEC LCD2490WUXi/LCD2690WUXi or Hazro HZ26W/HZ26Wi offers the same quality out of the box and you save yourself a few Ks. Good luck hunting

I don't know about legal BluRay discs though, but those shops that display them shows no black bars at all.
