Black bars or no black bars depends on your movie ratio. If you movie's aspect ratio is anything above 1.78:1, both 16:9 and 16:10 will have black bars. Just that with 16:9 the black bars will be thinner. Most movies are in 1.85:1 and 2.39:1 ratio. It is possible to download 1080p movies. Or you can just buy them like I did, get blu-ray disc movies.

Why would you want one? To protect your LCD?
so, you'd rather make your colors look worse than risk your LCD holding dust? of which you could just rub it off easily?

i saw some review on net n saw d dvi resolution of d acer X233H just on 1400*900 if with vga cable then d resolutin is 1920*1080 ...any owner can clarify with this..??? since my bro wishing 2 take one unit since d price is damn cheap with d spec .....

i dont know where to ask, yesterday my lcd make sound like "Pop!" and smell something burning. then i know the LCD rosak adi. So normally how much for the cost to repair the LCD and where the location nearest bangi area? +The screen fine no crack. Thanks

about 700 bucks. dell 2409w, t220 or 2333sw. no idea which one to get. i saw the t220 features and it says that it has DVI with HDCP. does it mean that it is capable of viewing HD movies? say 1080?

All the models can play 1080p, protected content or otherwise.

The s2409w has got the most real estate but colors are a little bit dull
The T220 has got a nice looking bezel and has nice colors but a wobbly stand to boot, without any wall mount holes in case the stand breaks.
The 2333sw is about the size of the T220 but slightly wider but slight shorter

I own a T220, my friend has a 2333sw. Given the almost similar prices now, I'd choose the 2333sw. As to the s2409w, it's not really 700, it's way cheaper in garage sales.
