QUOTE(chyaw @ Mar 12 2009, 08:18 AM)
Hi Bro,
You make 1 big assumption here and that's stability. So, your scenario is more bias to Celcom. Yet, Celcom so pathetic, even assuming line stable still lose out pants down...
Maybe Celcom aim at those light user that doesn't even know what is torrent or direct download or even Youtube!!!  rclxub.gif
*
well, i'm sorry if u think that way. my assumptions may not work on every one as i stated. perhaps i didnt make my definition of stability clear enuf. a stable line means the line is not having regular problems. i used celcom for half a year now n the problems r abundant, neva stopped. one week, problem A. then later, problem A gone, problem B comes. the cycle goes on n on. i read reviews about DiGi EDGE n found that the service has less problems. n thus, i say it is more stable than celcom service.

i think he is trying to upload as we speak. poor MX510. how to upload using such ridiculous speed. look forward to read it though. i have demanded answer from celcom a long time now. all my previous calls have gone unheard, unfortunately.

today's speed report... 109kbps down, another mystery number for up... report over n out.

i think they get tired of answering phones complaining of the speed drop. well, good news is the complains will keep on coming as the upload speed is terrible. nothing can be done wif this upload speed. no IM chat. no upload. no posting in forums. i dun think it is a friendly reminder. more like a threat to me. very stern n abit rude.

any news from toilet bowl yet? or MX510?

afternoon speed's report: 98kbps down, dunno for up... yet again...

20 March is within my next billing month. Dun think i stay wif celcom that long. Dun want to be cheated wif another excuse of maintenance.

1st off, the upload problem started on 17-18 Feb, not 6 March. More like another cover-up story by celcom. Hope not but dun wanna bet on it.

Now waiting for MX510 scan. I bet he is having hard time trying to upload. Go, bro MX510! Dun give up. (on uploading, that is. on celcom, give up... tongue.gif )

ya, within this week. when this billing month ends. now just making sure i got wad i paid for. cant stand this service any longer. i have to go out just to upload files to send to my frens. or to update my blog.

would like to switch to maxis but RM100 subscription fee and additional RM200 handling fee (if terminate within 2 yrs) makes me reluctant. maybe use DiGi EDGE for awhile n see how 1st.

celcom wont change if they dun notice ppl leaving the service. so either i stick wif them n rot to death or switch service. i rather choose the latter.

true, chyaw, as of now more r coming than leaving. but i'm sure more than 50% newcomers will feel the same after a month or so. then a portion of those ppl will leave celcom. these ppl will then help spread the word that celcom bb is to be avoided.

if our dissatisfaction can be heard louder than celcom propaganda campaign, more will be reluctant to sign up. we cant force them to agree or listen to us. we cant offer them assurance that by doing so is the correct way. at least we r making our point clear to celcom n potential customers.

dun be tricked by sweet deals celcom promoters telling u. come here n check our reviews, our experience. if u believe us, u may save urself from painful agony. trust me, u dun wanna deal wif idiotic bunch of celcom CS who do nothing but pour oil onto ur flaming brain. if u dun, at least we warn u about it.

plus lets not forget that DiGi 3G has come into the equation. once DiGi launch their service nationwide, ppl will start thinking y we pay RM98 for 5GB quota not RM128 for 50GB quota. believe me, ppl compare these figures as a factor to decide. i did choose celcom over maxis half a year ago coz of that. becoz their fair usage policy is 5GB, 2GB more than maxis. wad most ppl dunno (including the past me) is maxis hasnt implement their fair usage policy (from wad i heard so far)

the only thing celcom wins over the other wireless operators is their massive coverage, which is no doubt important. but wad is the use of wide coverage when u cant fully utilise the usage. i for example have to go outside just to upload my pics into my blog or facebook... which is pathetic given that i paid for mobile broadband service.

If you really know how to count ... the latest promotion of D68 + modem is really too expensive.
I am not sure if I heard the wrong message. I was told that, first month payment is RM250 and then RM89 for 18 months.

i was referring to D68 without modem, which most of us select. i didnt take into account the ones with contract. btw, i cant check celcom website for the package u told.

Unfortunate for them  sweat.gif ... and for us, existing user... More congestion  doh.gif

i did fall for the trap when i signed up. luckily didnt tie myself wif the silly contract.

nice rule of thumb!

neva able to check the realtime usage check. neva succeeded even once...

LOL. anyway this confirms that the service is enforcing total throttle situation. which also means throttle ur upload speed to less than 10kbps... YA!!! 10000bps!!! so fast!!! so fast!!!

not using celcom atm. hang out outside to chat. still have roughly a week till my billing month ends. wanted to use celcom fully be4 terminating but too slow. this morning mobile partner registered max upload speed of 4Kbps. didnt bother to use speedtest. today is one of the worst...

cant believe celcom still having nationwide promotions, i think they have stepped up their promotions these couple of months to win over customers. reduction in daily unlimited, 99 usb stick for new subscription n some other silly promotions. they spend much more for advertisement and stuffs than doing some upgrade.

Added on March 13, 2009, 5:50 pmcongrats, toilet bowl. u lucky enuf to be premier celcom user. we cant even dare to dream being uncapped like u... can u ask to uncap us all? tongue.gif use ur "premier celcom user" badge. wish i have it too tongue.gif

true for most termination cases but celcom requires u to pay ur bill charges before terminating, once u pay up all the charges, they wont want to give u extra day FOC.

btw, terminating a day later than billing date is calculated using prorate rite? or do i have to pay full the whole billing month?

I hope so. I guess lots of celcom users had complained n even left the service. Funny that they took such a long time to realise the flaw in the network. After all those complaints? I'm sure they ignored our complaints till some customers reached to top ppl. Probably thx to our toilet bowl smile.gif

Anyway hope this is not an excuse to delay ppl switching to other services or to temporarily nullify the current dissatisfaction. We seen all the delays celcom made wif its upgrade works. Will this be another one?

probably just a rumor. celcom did have a news released talking about this additional bandwidth but it was a year ago if i not mistaken.

Added on March 14, 2009, 4:56 pmthe chances r they may not do it yet. until digi 3g released officially. coz then they will need to somehow increase quota to stay competitive.

now this is a pure speculation.
