Terrible upload problem still exists... Guess most likely 100% dissatisfaction is no longer unreal.

Celcom - The 1st Broadband Service to be awarded Worst Broadband Service

Must be one hell of achievement.

Btw, wad do we give after 100% dissatisfaction? 200? 300? Or UNLIMITED dissatisfaction for UNLIMITED service... LOL!

Cant really guarantee which one is beta. Coz i dunno how Digi perform in ur area. However, as of now, celcom has lots of problems, unstable, slow upload, slow download n etc. N these bunch of problems r seen almost everywhere in Malaysia. U can always try out for daily unlimited. To test how good it is. Try it for couple of days as one day benchmark may not be truly reflecting celcom connection in ur area. This thread title of 99.8% dissatisfaction should answer how majority, if not all, celcom customers feel about current service. So is celcom really bad? NO! It is really, extremely, outrageously bad.

Digi edge thread should be somewhere next door, bro.

Now is 20th March... Another 20 hours or so for celcom to fix these problems. 100% dissatisfaction coming right up! Stay tuned for more dissatisfaction level, brought to u exclusively by Celcom. More promotions, more profits, more angry customers.

Countdown is for celcom to fix the current problems. Based on celcom CS, the problems will be rectified by 11pm 20th March. Or hope so...

Anyone having 0kbps download? I tried connecting like 10 times but always 0kbps, no matter wad page. Google, or wadeva. Now using my new Digi EDGE. On testing period wif Digi. Cant stand using Celcom. At least Digi is more stable n allow me to post reply. From my 3 days using Digi, so far so good.

If today not fixed, will terminate my celcom ASAP. Wasting money paying lousy service like celcom. No intentions of getting beta, just more customers but neva improved...

Still 0kbps download... Dun understand wad celcom trying to do. Could they be fixing the problem? Hope so... But kinda rushing isnt it? Just coz the deadline given is 20th March, then they start doing on 20th March. Days before, they probably sitting down n eating doughnuts...

Agree. I was tempted to switch to maxis but coz of RM100 activation fee n RM200 handling fee kinda make me think twice. Now just temporarily use EDGE until Digi 3G broadband coverage is expanded to my area, hopefully.

Celcom WAS good, true. But due to its constant, massive nationwide promotions with no apparent upgrade, it is now the worst wireless broadband. Shown by the dissatisfaction level... Celcom want 120% growth this year, dream on. With this lousy, crippled service, it is considerably lucky to retain most current users...

Read this. Celcom launched weekly unlimited prepaid broadband... I really wonder how celcom works. Service is so terrible yet offering more packages n making more advertisements. Advertisements to cover up the angry customers... I wonder how long this Celcom-is-the-best-ads will work to trick more customers, especially wif so many ppl writing bad reviews about it for last couple of months...

There will be cap at 5GB, too. I think... But the top speed will be 384kbps or else this package will be cheaper than D98. One month, about 80++.

Dun think it is a good bargain. Kinda too expensive for a service that is now so terrible... Btw, the upload problem still exists. Even worse now...

Another 12 hours... Dun think celcom will fix this. Another empty promise.

For new weekly prepaid package, it will be more likely to be 3G package, just see daily unlimited is 3G, up to 384kbps..

Agree... All these news n advertisements lead ppl to wrong conclusion that Celcom is the best. I have never read a headline saying how bad Celcom broadband is. Even complaints to newspaper often have their headlines missing "Celcom Broadband" n only mentions it at the contents...

Since when Celcom ppl ever listened to customers... They try their best to ignore us n just cover it up wif more ads n brain-washing news. We here made one, absolute conclusion about Celcom service, that is very terrible.

Sad to hear this, bro. We r all here having same problem. We warned new subscribers to carefully assess n think twice before signing up wif celcom. Pls understand that celcom salesmen r not to be trusted. They make all sorts of claims to get subscribers.

Welcome to the celcom "fun" club. Where all ur complaints r just another jokes to celcom CS.

your speed have been capped bro, to 128kbps, that's why like that

if prepaid rm 20/week same as d98 + same speed + same fair usage policy + HSDPA, i will disconnect my d98 cause this prepaid more worth it   brows.gif

The chances for that, bro... Zero. Wont happen unless celcom reduce monthly charges, which is even more unlikely...

Added on March 20, 2009, 10:54 amThe rate of complaints n rants flowing into this thread is overwhelming... Started at 25 Feb, this thread is barely one month old n yet, we have 70 over pages now... All filled wif hate letters to celcom. Letters that celcom will ignore all the time.

Anyone having improvement? I still find it impossible to finish speedtest, posting is difficult n MSN login fail... No improvement. Lucky i have back-up connection. I think will throw away my blue cap with HUGE red "X" n wear yellow costumes soon.

Tired of calling the CS, ranting here n yet no improvement is being made, ever.

Ya, at least Digi package doesnt say unlimited n then u have to read the T&C (which is often not explained by promoters n salesmen unless asked or necessary) to find a trap of 5GB quota... Honest in that sense. Digi states very clearly the quota n gives more info without reading the T&C. But Digi comparison chart kinda tricky. Not fully reflect the packages from competitors. Nevertheless, Digi 3G tech is one step beta than celcom with its HSPA tech. Upload speed either 200kbps or 1Mbps. My best speed using celcom is 110-something. Now though it is less than 10kbps or often, a number that cannot be measured by speedtest... A negative number, perhaps?

There have been claims like urs here but nothing solid yet. Can be the glitch in throttling system. Call up the CS if u dun mind having raging flame on ur head afterwards.

For mine though, some websites r imposed speed bumps. Slower than its usual, usual meaning the period before all these erratic problems.

Celcom is Malaysia's No.1 mobile broadband provider, and with good reason: we offer you the widest coverage (over 71% of Malaysia's populated areas), and most affordable plans. We also give you the latest, sleekest modems and hardware - and continuously implement network upgrades and enhancements. It's no wonder that our subscriber base is aggressively growing; don't miss out on joining Malaysia's largest and absolute best Mobile Broadband community.

i found this on celcom broadband website...wel let c if they kip their promises...
*
LOL! Another exaggerated claim. By celcom. Tipu!!! I find it ironic that celcom calls itself "Malaysia's largest and absolute best Mobile Broadband". Largest, true. Absolute best?!! Feels like bashing celcom ppl. Only noe how to exaggerate in front of ppl, but in actual fact, it is the absolute worst Mobile Broadband.

Wad is the use of wide coverage when the service cannot even be used for PROPER internet activity. Quantity OK, Quality Worse-Than-The-Worst....

Upgrade?!! I'm certain that celcom's definition of upgrade is improving network so that customers can enjoy "increased" speeds. Wad is hidden or not precisely explained in here is that the term "increased" reflects progress in downward trend... So going down is +ve, going up is -ve...

Already waiting for it. Now use Digi EDGE temporarily (or else no way i can post here or chat) until its 3G comes into my area. Hopefully in one-two months time. Digi tech HSPA ensures both download n upload speed to be more stable than celcom. Download speed up to 14.4Mbps but they r modest in stating just 700kbps. Didnt make outrageous claims like celcom. 3.6Mbps but max i got for past 6 months is 2Mbps, far from 3.6Mbps...

Havent terminated my crippled celcom service. Will do the next week. Waste of money.

2Mbps???  shocking.gif  u r da lucky 1... i think if it is 3.6Mbps n u juz got 2 Mbps its still acceptable lor...if it is 14.4Mbps then average u can get only 700kbps it is not gud n very2 far from wht it suppose 2 b... hmm.gif
*
That 2Mbps was a long time ago... Now, when uncapped, 1Mbps+ only. I dun consider myself lucky coz using celcom is not a lucky choice. My line is uncapped for couple of days now. But my upload speed is terrible. Cannot post here or use IM. Upload files is impossible task.

Well, Digi only say 700kbps as an estimated speed but by rite, its network can support up to 14.4Mbps. It is merely trying to give more clearer picture n dun give fat hope to potential customers. An honest move, compared to Celcom.

U sounded like celcom-related ppl. Any news on the deadline of fixing series of problems celcom users encountered so far? Any comment?

Another 5 hours or so... Still not rectified. Slow upload all the way thru n thru.

100% dissatisfaction guaranteed!!

True, such a shame Celcom is the pioneer in this area but the service is now proven to be the worst. Now the only thing Celcom wins is the coverage. However, if DiGi, Maxis n other wireless bb can manage to cover most of selangor n KL, celcom pie will be much smaller. No more 120% growth but 120% decline...

Congestion or no congestion, celcom network is poorly maintained so i can predict another problems even though the no. of cust is decreasing.

Lets just take today deadline as an example. If the upload problem is not yet resolved by the deadline, then it shows the poor maintenance n lack of quality assurance on celcom's part.

LOL! Atm using Digi EDGE until Digi 3G comes to my area. Wouldnt take long i hope. Still have my celcom though. Just too lazy switching from 3G to GPRS or reconnect every time wanna make a post here. Plus no IM when using celcom. Terminating next week.

See any ship coming near, jump on it. At least, the ship wont be a sinking sampan like celcom...

Sigh...and that day I just saw they promoting celcom broadband to the students here just few days earlier... sweat.gif

They keep getting new customers by each day...but their services just...drop till like..
ugh...I can't even surf the net properly when at college...

I can't wait for DiGi's EDGE corverage or maybe DiGi's 3G ...I heard from my friend that even it's slower than celcom 3g, but you'll rarely faces any problem or disconnections than celcom's
*
No matter how wide coverage is, the service quality is the most important aspect of any internet service. Like Aneena said, celcom cannot be used for almost anything... Browsing slow, upload slow, IM no support, P2P throttled, list goes on n on... So wad is the use of having wide coverage when there is nothing u can do wif it.

Digi EDGE should cover lots of places, so i think u can temporarily use Digi EDGE. I too just started using it, switching from celcom. Honestly I paid RM98 for nothing... I cannot upload or use IM. Download slow n sometimes, got 0kbps download problem. Terrible! Just try Digi EDGE, ur place should be covered as its coverage is superb. Download speed can be up to 280kbps n no problem in upload. U may find it slow but it will be beta n more stable than celcom atm. Just bear wif it until ur area is covered by Maxis or Digi 3G.

Or if u like, u can use Digi EDGE temporarily until celcom is fixed. When it would happen remain mystery as no upgrade has been felt for my 6-month experience using celcom. Every time got problem, call the CS always get the same excuse - Sir, we r having some network upgrade so there is service disruption bla bla bla... All BS! These last few months have been hellish. Worse than even dial-up service.

Upload problem still exists. Now even worse... Browsing is like crawling. Another hour for the deadline... Prepare for 100% dissatisfaction!

Thanks.

I tried DiGi simcard [my other number] on my phone, and sadly it doesn't have E on it sad.gif ...so no EDGE for me, now. My phone will display E if there's EDGE...like at my house sweat.gif

Tried DiGi on GPRS [not sure the speed, didn't check], but I never faces any disconnection for 10minutes period...unlike celcom's...
*
Unfortunate case I must say. GPRS is very slow but if u just need light browsing, it's beta than celcom 3G (weird but true). At least u got wad u pay for. For celcom, u pay RM6 daily, u wont get a single thing done. I'm not even sure y more advanced tech like 3G is beaten down by GPRS... Celcom service is way too terrible these past months. Ever since the start of this year, the service degrades exponentially.
