When I checked the scoreline, I said, "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww poor Van Der Sar. There goes his record"

But when I checked, it was Kuzco. And the record still stands! icon_idea.gif

Anyways. Good 2-1 win, not convincing, but it works nonetheless. Unbeaten run and hope it continues.

Damn. Our defenders seem to be injured prone, especailly Brown. doh.gif
Can't imagine Evra as CB but I think one of Evans or O'shea will be available.

hey guys... my first post in -here- *fanfare*

...anyways, good game last night... just might be the kick up the backside the team needs to fully concentrate on the tasks at hand i.e. win trophies... i was getting worried that a few of the young uns were getting too over-confident... now they have been brought down to earth with the blackburn goal, hoping to see a lot more fire and steel in their play!

go devils!!!

I too think Evans and O Shea should make it through. I'm worried with Rafael at the back. The bugger needs to be disciplined on Tuesday if he does play.

Exactly. He was caught out of position on a number of occasion yesterday and Carrick has to cover the RB area for him to contain Pedersen.

On the game itself, we never seems to step out of the 1st gear yesterday/this morning. Some of the players did not performed up to their usual standard as well, Carrick for example. Hopefully they will get back to usual form at San Siro.

On the goal we conceded, was wondering why did Nani suddenly stopped chasing the ball? Was he expecting Scholes to get there 1st? unsure.gif

I'd definitely go with

O Shea-Ferdinand-Evans-Evra

Personal opinion is Evans will make it and O Shea on the bench but if God, both are fit, please don't play Rafael against Inter. This is by no means, losing faith in Rafael but I think O Shea will be better coped with Inter's personnel at hand especially in set pieces.

While it shouldn't be a penalty but Rafael certainly didn't make it easy for himself leaving the back door open!

And while I understood why Evans partnered Ferdinand, I too felt that it didn't make any sense to risk one of our only fit TWO centre backs with Inter in mind. And given the way Vidic has been playing, he'd walk in any team. I'd have played Vidic today and in the Carling Cup finals.

I thought both Nani and Scholes thought the other was gonna deal with it.

at the san siro, agreed o'shea is the better choice (just) since he is marginally better defensively, also the aerial presence... but at home, i'd go with rafael... o'shea can't bomb ahead like the young da silva can...

Doubt we'd go for a result. With injuries in mind to key defenders and Rooney not entirely match fit (think Tevez will partner Berbatov), it could be a 0-0.

Moarinho might have seen some weakness in our defence today. No wonder he was so keen that Vidic to be banned 3 games, no doubt he's overtook Ferdinand as the lynchpin of the defence. Give credit where one dues, he's been an ever present member along this CS run. At he last few mins against Blackburn when they start throwing the crosses in, Vidic stood taller than anyone. Ferdinand need Vidic to complement him, he was sorta below his best with Evans. Ferdinand is more the chilling, positional type defender where else Vidic is the tough tackler, no nonsense defender. Evans resembles more to Ferdinand, hence they don't really click. I start to worry slightly for the Inter game, the away one at least.

ferdinand is actually played good in the game.. but he need to cover rafael's asses all the time.. doing 2 jobs in the same time is harder rite?

As long Milan 06 doesn't occur, I'm happy.

And when's 'next Wednesday?' Been waiting for it for 2 Wednesdays already.
