That's Jacob la, not Jack. Jack is the girl with tattoos and an attitude. Yeah, I believe it does affect the ending. I haven't finished the game yet but I'm buying every upgrade I can since I love my crew wub.gif

Seems like I'll have to keep reloading to see different endings. I do want to kill my Shepard but of course I won't be exporting that to ME3, just to see what happens tongue.gif.

'I am Krogan!!!!' -charges- Wahlaueh. So garang. Somemore his voice actor is Steve Blum aka Wolverine hehe.

Tali? Weak? She was a beast and for me the Migrant Fleet quest was damn fun. Lots of emotional dialogue (Paragon interrupt ftw even though I don't plan to romance Tali), fun killing some flashlight heads again and intense shooting. I'm thankful for squad disrupter ammo.

Do I have to play Mass Effect 1 to enjoy Mass Effect 2?
*
Sometimes I wish people would automatically play ME1 first so BioWare could really tie the two together.

But yes, do try out ME1 first even though ME2 is a totally different experience. Remember to patch it to avoid annoying bugs. The advantages are :

- new quests (some characters don't appear if you don't import an ME1 save)

- continuity (you get a good feeling when you see recurring characters and since it's been 2 years, the changes they went through can shock you)

- better grasp of the story (Joker especially has a line quoting Sovereign from the first game. I don't know if you get it if you don't import but it really brings back memories. Besides, you will understand all the references better)

- much better game overall (the default choices suck ass)

Never like male Shepard Voice though...  sweat.gif

Meh, its ok. Better than the first game, partly because the Renegade dialogue is so much better written. Hell, even Paragon can be Renegade-ish. I'm so tired of Jennifer Hale after playing KotOR twice and she sounds like she overacts a bit too.

Play the 1st episode first before starting with ME2. Through out ME2, those that played the 1st will know that that your pass choices in the 1st episode is brought over to the 2nd game. I guarantee you will appreciate ME2 MUCH better if you finish the 1st; you will feel that the 2 game is a continuation of the 2.
*
Especially if you finished no.1 a few days before no.2. I still get excited whenever I see someone from ME1 and the way people from ME1 greet you and such, it feels so good.

Added on February 5, 2010, 2:29 pmAnyone else using the Revenant light machine gun? Even with accuracy upgrades it can't hit accurately plus it seems the damage is lower than the Vindicator. Maybe I should have taken the Widow sad.gif

Remember Liara's line? Something about asari commandos. It gave me shudders because that's exactly what Benezia told Shepard on Noveria before the big fight.

dont know, all i had with kelly was "dinner".
*
Curious... how to have dinner with Kelly? Where's this romance/ hitting on you dialogue from her? Oh does Tali say anything else after she gets rejected? I feel kinda bad.

Ah, sorry for spoiling the Liara bit for you. I thought you finished the game liao.

no worries you didnt spoil anything yet. I can't quite remember the line. I will have to find out later when I get back home. All you have to do is to keep talking to Kelly after any quest and flirt with her.
*
I think I killed the flirting part by accident, nevermind.

If Ash, Garrus and Liara are anything to go by, 2 years is a long time but there should be a dialogue option that lets her explain her behavior. I heard it's bugged though and sometimes doesn't appear.

I enjoyed Tali's mission a ton. I brought Garrus too but he kept his mouth shut. Still, his sniper rifle works wonders against flashlight heads.

ME1 is so confusing... i kindda like how ME2 where you just pick up ammo and upgrade guns. In ME1 you have to pick up ammo and guns and you can't duck and cover... i'm trying really hard to follow the storyline (kindda fell asleep at 1 point).
*
This is why non-rpg fans enjoy ME2 more. It's more streamlined. Anyway you can crouch in ME1 without cover which I prefer since it makes sniping from high places extremely fun. Ammo in ME1? You mean the specialized ammo. Guns do fine without them. ME1 has more guns too, ME2 has a total of 2 assault rifles, minus the Revenant. I wouldn't mind the Vindicator if it had a mode selector vmad.gif

The storyline is better than ME2's and not really hard. It's just Saren and your efforts to find the *******.

Guys, is it illegal for me to download the preorder bonuses that I can't get? Like Inferno armor, Incisor sniper rifle, etc.

I asked the same question about several pages ago.

And I was ignored.

Let me try doing it on laptop.

EDIT:

Nope, cannot, tried.

Even if you install it, EA Account/game saves without Inferno armor DLC privilege can still play though, just no Inferno armor in game.

As for how I get to download Inferno armor DLC,

It's Bioware/EA's fault.
Using OBVIOUS name for their dlc name.
I just change the name in download links.
*
Thanks mate, really helpful biggrin.gif. Yeah, it's easy to get the dlc. I guess they learned from Dragon Age. I managed to install two preorder items on that one.

almost all who played seriously got nobody died
theres this dude who rushed the game got the entire squad killed biggrin.gif

on youtube

edit edit - all upgrades, all loyal, all loves shepard biggrin.gif:D:D
*
I'm paranoid now. I'm quite attached to my squad, especially those from ME1 like Tali and Joker though he's not a squad member.

I'm not rushing but I have almost 30 hours in. I haven't gotten Thane or Samara but I've gotten most upgrades (that I can afford) including the shielding, armor and weapons for the Normandy and all my squadmates are loyal and Jacob is like Shepard's best friend haha.

Shepard : 'The next Normandy gets a lounge'
Jacob : 'Will be painful to rebuild though (something like that)'
Shepard : 'I can verify that'

Well... 12 hours is really short tbh. Even Mass Effect 1 and it's ultra shortness I did in 29+ hours.

Jack argues with Miranda and Legion goes against Tali. Luckily I had enough Paragon to defuse the situation with Jack. Otherwise sweat.gif

Just bought PC Gamer Malaysia.

Mass Effect 2 was awarded 90 out of 100.

Gonna read the review later.

PC Gamer is kinda fail imo. ME2 has not gone below 90 afaik too.

*
The ones we're not supposed to have or redeem codes? For redeem codes, use the social site's code redemption page. Then it will direct you to a page to download the stuff.

We are suppose to have, then, where do i go to download?

I thought it's like DA:O where you download it in game?
*
Some anal new system. It's different from DA that lets you download ingame. This one installs the dlc from a separate .exe you have to download.

http://social.bioware.com/redeem/

Go here and make sure the account used is the one you want. Like DA, it's permanent.

I would think that obtaining DLCs from Mass Effect 2 would be exactly the same with Dragon Age Origins.
*
Nah, like I said, DA lets you download in game. ME2 wants you to download externally. At least, I haven't found a way to download it ingame hmm.gif

You can actually download Dragon Age DLC without using the ingame downloader.

You just have to know the link.
Which I did when I download The Stone Prisoner (Ingame downloader is retarded)
*
For DA is both, but I don't think ME2 can download ingame.

Actually it's kinda effective as an anti-piracy thing. The pirates will have to crack the dlc. All that extra work for a lousy sniper rifle for example.

I wouldn't mind the Dr.Pepper helmets though. Can we get those here (the codes not the Dr.Pepper)? Dr.Pepper tastes like crap.
