Guys i completed ME2 yesterday and i have a few questions:

The only way to prevent my tech specialist from dying is to choose Tali or Legion? How is it like that? Any explanation? I chose Jacob and he died, though i never really liked him much so i can live with that.
And the part where you have to choose a biotic to protect you from the swarms and another person to distract the collectors, will the characters i choose for the mission affect who will die?
I asume your talking about sending people in the tunnels so here goes; if you paid attention to the conversation during the mission briefing you will know that a tech-specialist is need to unlock the doors therefore Tali or Legion is the perfect candidate.
for the rest, refer below:

For those that still have problems getting everyone out alive should read this post by a mod/developer post taken from the BSN forum:
WARNING SPOILER ALERT!

Mordin's death is not a glitch or bug. I believe that when people are surprised with Mordin's death, it's during the "Hold the Line" time where you leave crew behind as you and two squad mates move onward. Tech had their moment in the sun with the tunnel infiltration. A biotic is key for the protective bubble. The Hold the Line sequence is time for your soldier types to do their best.
Basically you want your best DEFENDERS to hold the line. Don't think about offensive solo strikers. Think about the guys that can dig down and hold a position with moxie. You want them to hold the line.
Under the hood, each character has a "hole the line" score, which gets a bonus if the character is loyal. Characters like Mordin, Jack and Tali are squishy and not exoeruenced with bunkering down and holding out for an extended period of time. Characters like Grunt and Zaeed are tanks who thrive on this type of work. The score is tallied for all the team members that are holding the line, and the number of survivors are calculated. If people are to die, the non-loyals squishies go first through the list to the loyal tanks. Alas, I think Mordin is at the head of the death list. Some characters can't survive without help even if they are loyal. Others can survive even if not loyal.
Here are some examples for the group holding the line: Loyal Mordin by himself: He can't hold the line by himself. He dies. Non-loyal Grunt by himself: Grunt lives. He hunkers down and gets the job done, and doesn't have to worry about helping any one else. Loyal Mordin and non-Loyal Grunt: Grunt dies, but Mordin lives. Grunt is able to hold the line but goofs up helping Mordin... he was just too aggressive without his right of passage. Loyal Mordin and Loyal Grunt: They both live.
Note it is possible to get non-loyal henchmen to survive through the end game with the proper group holding the line.
So what is a good strategy? Send back a loyal squishy with the crew, like Mordin or Tali. Leave your defensive bad asses to hold the line (hmmm, Garrus defended a base all by himself to an extended period of time....) and take your loyal offensive favorites with you to the end.
As for saving Kelly and the crew, you just need to make sure you go through the Omega-4 relay right after the crew is taken, and make sure you send a loyal squad mate back as an escort.

What you have to realize about mordin holding his own in his clinic is...he was in a clinic. Noone said he didn't get hurt fighting off random blue suns.No clinic in on the collector base and Zaeed's a really good fighter but if you talk to him in his quarters he talks about missions he's been on and all the people that went with him have died! That's not someone I'd want leading a team into combat .

Mordin is amazing on the final fight.Kill off the Collectors easily.
He and Grunt alone is sufficient to hold off the Collectors back while i blast the crap out of the Human Reaper.
I bought Mordin and Grunt just because i dont want to see them die.Garrus's death have made me sad enough, and i dont want to them to die too.
haha.... Christina Norman is hogging the forum guys; never expect Bioware to be so active with the community. She is now asking players for gameplay videos. Though I know it's part of her job to gather info for future reference in ME3, her participation in the BSN forum has spark alot of interest among players to be more involve with the game. Here is the thread:
No-dvd image is damn awesome. I can easily load up the game when I feel like replaying a scene without having to take out my CE. The dvd lock is tight and I think I might break it one day.

Soldier is more or less just about shooting your enemies.Use Disruptive when there is Geth or Mechs. Incendiary for anything organic. It's simple.
Mind posting it here?
Yup, that is basically what a Soldier is all about but I love it. Turn on Adrenaline Rush and head shot everyone, damn I really got the achievement quickly.
The message is quite long but something about asari and volus also celebrating it .

I brought Grunt and Miranda. Grunt is a really good shot and he helped a lot in the final fight. I placed him at the far end and Miranda in the middle with me running around sniping which worked good.
Mordin I sent him with the crew. He dies really easily for me. I had a time during his loyalty quest.

is there anyway i can get rid of the ugly, eyes soring, faking 'real video' like effect? i mean the darken at edges of screen, it make me strain my eyes to focus at middle. human eyes can see more than 120 degree, i already focus myself to a small monitor but this game wana further limit my field of view

Many human planets and colonies celebrate St. Valentines Day today, a holiday themed around romantic love and the greeting card industry. Prospective or established mating partners exchange love notes with one another, and some add gifts of cut flowers, jewelry, or sugary confections in the hopes of receiving sexual favors. Industry insiders estimate over 2 billion Valentine messages will be sent this year on Earth and an additional 5 billion throughout human colonies. The holiday is rapidly spreading among the Asari and the Volus, who embrace its unusual mix of commerce and reproduction.
Bah, finally figured out the scene where Tali talks to Shepard near the drive core. Turns out I went in to talk to the Illusive Man right after her recruitment mission and of course he sends us off on that quest without a choice. So I missed the whole dialogue scene which has references to Mass Effect : Ascension. I've read the book so any references are good to hear.

LOL,im also replaying ME1 to import characters to ME2.
First,a Vanguard.Then,Infiltrator.
I can't stand replaying ME1 anymore. I guess that's what 10 complete playthroughs does to you.

set the brightness/whiteness to 1. set all values to 1.
hi torrz, r u replying to me? if yes, i can find brightness in option, set to 1 still edges are still dark, where is the other whiteness or 'all value' ?
Quick question .... what does ME1 imports to ME2??
Do they import leveling? Skills? characters??
How does it affect ME2 in anyway??
By now you should know that Mass Effect is the sort of game that allows u to make certain decision that affects the story. So for those that played the 1st episode, the decisions that we made in ME will be carried forward in the ME2 and affects the story in ME2. Other than that, you get bonus for lvls, credits and minerals.
