I dont think there will be any MP for ME2,as even the single player campaign is good enough alone, and it encourages you to replay the game with a different class and used different decision which will give a very different outcome.

Im quite disappointed now,as i even went to the point of overclocking my desktop so that i get to enjoy ME2 on recommend. Now,it seems not much point of doing so.
I was really hyped up for the major decisions of ME1 bought over to ME2,but now, what is it for? Just a marketing gimmick. Lack of inventory just makes it another GoW like game. Im glad that there is no more MAKO,but some of the changes, isnt that good. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Jan 24 2010, 03:28 PM |

QUOTE(secondrate @ Jan 24 2010, 03:46 PM) I feel kinda let down too but time will tell how good this game is. I won't really put all my trust in that guy's post. I dont know,im delaying my purchase for a week until you guys got the game.I'm also getting a quad core for this among other things and I got a new hdd last year for DA and this. Could be some DRM magic in action. |

QUOTE(secondrate @ Jan 24 2010, 04:02 PM) Hopefully you could post some comments right away once you got it.I enjoyed ME1 a lot.Just hope that ME2 isnt that dumbed down. QUOTE(Hou_JaI @ Jan 24 2010, 05:17 PM) come on guys ... no matter how different the inventory or combat system is in this game, as a good gamer we should be able to adapt to it in no time !! I have full confidence in Bioware that ME 2 will kick ass! look at dragon age man its the best RPG thats out there in the market now! so stop complaining la 2 more days before it officially release hope that my copy can reach on the same day It's not about adapting into a game. It's a sequel to a game and things shouldnt change so much.It seems like inventory is completely removed. It's true that it will be difficult to arm all 10 team mates and ME1's inventory spring cleaning isnt that fun, but the small bit of RPG in ME1 is still part of the fun and experience of the game. The thing that piss me off the most is still the absence of Charm and Intimidate, which seems like Paragon and Renegade is no longer in ME2.Hopefully they learnt from DA to scramble the conversation choices to encourage replayibility and add some unpredictable conversation in the game. Im actually quite glad that MAKO is gone, though. It suxs, especially that thing loves to turn turtle once in a while. I hate to see another DoW2,like the predecessor,DoW1 is awesome in almost every way but flawed, while DoW2 is just a too streamlined game to be even called as a worthy sequel.Seems like ME2 is on the same path as DoW2. |

I agree,Gormaz.Lets just wait and see.
I know someone who have gotten the "advance" copy. The lack of RPG is more or less rectified by better combat and more epic environments. |

QUOTE(-Torrz @ Jan 24 2010, 08:01 PM) Well apparently Bioware stated that if your pc/laptop can run ME1 you can run ME2 jst fine. ME2 isnt my main concern,as ME1 runs quite well on my ancient laptop.Well, thats what I heard from the word of mouth on another message board. BFBC2 is my major concern and from what it seems, probably wont run at all. QUOTE(H@H@ @ Jan 24 2010, 08:27 PM) Whoa, watch the kneejerk. The complete removal of the RPG system isnt really accpetable.ME was never just an action game to me,unlike GoW.It's always an action game with a bit of RPG.It's just too simplified now.The greatest strength of ME wasn't its RPG aspects (Which were pitifully shallow), but the whole "space opera" feeling it manages to conjure. If they nail THAT, they could make the combat solely a mako driving simulator and I'd be happy. Again, I've not read of these "reviews" by pirates, but I'm guessing the inventory system is no more but you still pickup loot nonetheless? No biggie really, since unlike other RPGs, there's no reason to horde various items or weapons/armour combos since you only ever need the best at any given moment and just omnigel the rest. The combat is simplified to the point where you won't have to worry about having the right armour to counter a specific attack or having the best weapon with the right kind of elemental attack. There is also neither a crafting system nor secondary items to use, so it doesn't look like that bad of a change. Remember ME was supposed to be an action game FIRST, then RPG. But all this played second fiddle to the setting and story which were absolutely fantastic and one that I'm hopeful they'll be able to emulate. ME2 isnt exactly what i wanted now. Also, please direct your wrath to those who played pirated copies and post spoilers. QUOTE(secondrate @ Jan 24 2010, 09:08 PM) Thanks man. |

I played Soldier in ME1 and i kind of enjoyed it.It's just like playing a shooter, compared to other classes. The only problem is the Spectre Gear, where it kills the fun of playing,as it kills almost anything it touches.
Still,Adept is still much more fun,IMO. |

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Jan 25 2010, 12:09 PM) Also did anyone ever beat the game in Insane? The frigging Krogan's were practically unkillable in that mode. I think I made it all the way to the final area and then just gave up. Even normal i have problems with that damn Krogan. It's my fault for bringing too little tech and biotics. |

QUOTE(Gormaz @ Jan 25 2010, 04:17 PM) Wrex was the most awesome character in ME1, there was simply no way I would have decided not to keep him. Agreed,he's the most amazing character in ME1,with an awesome voice acting. At the same time, damn useful character.Tough, powerful and knows a tiny bit of biotics.I think I prefered Wrex to Sheperd to be honest, Wrex was a pure badass with a brain. At first when I saw him I thought the would be another dumb big sidekick like so many in video games. 2-3 witty remarks in the stupid lift scenes and I was in love I just hope he will reappear again in ME2. I just dont like Grunt.Just like some typical Krogan punk that we killed through ME1.Wrex isnt just a Krogan punk,he is a Battlemaster. |

QUOTE(Hou_JaI @ Jan 25 2010, 06:31 PM) how the heck u guys level up him? i remembered i killed him in the story lol, for self defense ... hahah well i think i shouldn't reload my character then hahah This:gonna make him part of the team in ME2 QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Jan 25 2010, 04:05 PM) QUOTE(Savor_Savvy @ Jan 25 2010, 07:20 PM) Heard 20-30 hours from someone in Steam forums. One of my pirate friends who played it,no spoilers from him. In terms of gameplay, the game have much more intense combat, with better environments(no more kinda bland environments),but in the cost of less RPG and choices though. It's still a good game. From what he said. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Jan 25 2010, 09:44 PM |

QUOTE(secondrate @ Jan 25 2010, 09:47 PM) Less choices eh. I hope the story and dialogue is still good. I prefer less of that inventory omnigelling nonsense. I like to just focus on the story and combat. My friend say,the story is better than ME1,but ME2's replayibility isnt as much as ME1.So different from Dragon Age. Still, thats just a comment from one person. We'll see how is it when the game is out and more people manage to get their hands on it. Im still watching the Launch Trailer like no tomorrow. |

QUOTE(secondrate @ Jan 25 2010, 09:59 PM) We will fight... for the lost. How that doesn't come off cheesy is amazing. I get shudders when Shepard helmet is breached and when Tali goes sliding off some rock. I find the music with that trailer just made everything more epic 10x,then,random dialogs from Illusive Man and Miranda makes it even epic. |
