Hello NHC owners..due to my itchy2 hands..did some mods on my car 2day.. damn..soundproof all 4 doors(big difference guys,more solid n quiter car cabin)..Gophers Quatr.0 GPS with reverse cam..raizen voltage stabilizer install..and change yellow bulbs to white bulbs for the headlamps..For those who plan to soundproof their doors recommended to go to PITSTOP at B1 Sunway Pyramid..First 3 NHC will get RM298 for all doors..i did mine so there is another 2 more slots for NHC..

Will be sending my DLB baby for PPS later..hope i can wake up by 9 to send the car early..

Cant wait for Ultra Racing Strut Bar for NHC which will be available next month..

Let me know where you're sourcing your UR Strut bars, alright? Also are you gonna get ARB too?
So far I'm pretty sceptical with those sellers out there selling cos i'm not sure those 2G Jazz struts can fit the NHC

i called up kakimotor..they told me will probably be out next mth..ARB not too sure yet..we'll see..my hands getting itchier..light japanese rims will be next!!

I see. But I've got a feeling that the UR prices at KakiMotor is more expensive than a few other places. the Front tower struts shouldn't cost you more than RM170 for the muli-link type.

Say, would you be interested to come join our future TTs? Perhaps in 2 weeks time?

I havent ask about the price yet..well we just have to wait n see when the UR for NHC is launched..well about the TT..if im free why not..keep me posted..

A silly question, if we soundproof our NHC, will it void warranty?
How much usually to soundproof the car if no promotion?

People, I'm getting my 1k service today after my trip 2 kl. My concern - my fuel light indicator is on all the time. Is that normal? I thot b4 diz it doesnt lights up, except when my fuel is really low. Can any1 comment on this?

Err.. the fuel light indicator that you mean.. is it the one between the F and E?? (with the little arrow to pointing to the left)??
Cos if that's the one, that's not the fuel warning indicator.
When your fuel is low, the indicator should come on near the (small little box where u use the paddle shift to downshift/upshift)

Added on March 11, 2009, 10:44 amIt shouldn't. Anyway in terms of warranty, if anything.. only a certain part that you've changed might be void, but not the whole car.
For example, if you changed ur suspensions to aftermarket ones.. but ur power window gets stuck and spoilt. it's irrelevant, that ur warranty on ur power windows will be void. vice versa.

To be honest, it's the same price w/o the promotion for the 4 doors, we've checked.

Yes, the one in the middle of F and E. Mine is S spec, so I dun have the paddle shift indicator. Anyway thanx a lot 4 ur answer.... gonna check it out again.

BTW, I have another Q, when climbing hill, do I need 2 lower down the gear to D2 or 2 mode (mine is S spec, so I don't have the "S" shift/gear)? My SA told me D2 is for winding road and 2 is for hill climbing. What if i dun change the gear? Will it affect the engine(apart from slower pick up/roaring sound fr the engine)?

Sysh, maybe we could check with GLS if they can source the strut bars for us and get a good price? I am still waiting for Willie to give us his price list.. Will call him to check in a day or two.

The cost for soundproofing, depends on the material you use... If you're interested to do soundproofing, hang in there, a couple of us here are interested as well, we'll organise a group installation of soundproofing in time to come!

Me and sysh have already approached a shop, and they have agreed in principle to give us HC3 ppl special prices for various items. We've already asked for a list comprising the car mat, soundproofing, autolock, brake pedal lock, tinting, voltage stabilizers, etc etc, and they will be furnishing us a price list for the HC3 members in due course. Will keep the HC3 thread updated on this...

I am getting my car soon. You guys know what is the current interest rate? Bank officer call me last week. interest rate is about 2.47%

Is there a D2? I thought it was only P, R, N, D, D3, 2, 1 for the S-Spec?
I think the lower gears, ie. D3, 2 & 1 would be good for down / uphill driving 'cos of its low-speed torque.
In a way you've got better control of the car's acceleration with the engine revs (engine braking). The engine
will be a bit louder as the RPMs will be higher at faster speed, but that's about it. Should not adversely affect your
engine, unless you're saying u're on 1st gear and you're redline'ing at 6.5k rpm going down a steep gradient.

The optional gear in NON-padde shift model is to lock the gear from changing. You know the time where u always meet a hill that optimal speed sits right between the gear change ratio of 2nd and 3rd (Or 1st and 2nd), and you get really annoyed it chaging up to 3rd when it got enough speed but drop back to 2nd when it's underpowerd (repeatedly) and it's draining the gear box too bits by bits. So it has nothing to do with the engine but with the gear box, ofcousre if you're sensitive enough you can lift your foot the moment its going to change gear to reduce speed, but thats crazy annoying.

Paddle shift already have the capabilities to lock the gear as it's ... well paddle shift-ish. It stay at the gear you've selected unless it's underpowerd.

kekeke. Till now I haven;t know how to use that paddle shift thingy. I dunno how that function and only know can turn it on if we shift to S. In D can we use paddle shift?

I've used it on my dad's civic before. It's quite fun and sophisticated, you can shift up manually but when you breaks or slow down, it will down shift to the proper 1 for you, you know i used to be a manual driver for 7 years, it gives more sense what gear to use than paddle shift offered by HONDA so i always have hard time putting proper gear during a corner. But as a hybrid usage, manual up auto down. Not bad.. even thou i didn't bother using paddle shift most of the time.

I'm only using it more often in HIGHWAY, where i want to speed up a little but i dont want it to rev up and go 4th or even 3rd, i can do that without using paddle shift but i have to push my foot really little to sync with the rev so it doesn't trigger the underpower and downshift, but hey... 5 hours to JB can be exhausted on the foot even with cruise control if i'm going to press bit by bit everytime i wanna little speed. Put it on 5th gear in paddle shift.. press with the throttle as you relax your foot (without lifting) and you'll still be pumping little gas thanks to the drive by wire thinggy. And you won't wake the whole car up with the downshift rev noise and the little g force it produce.

Yeah, S spec dun have D2 - i was wrong in naming the gears!(haha!). So now i realised i have P, R, N, D, D3, 2, 1! Thanx sysh! BTW, when do i use the '1' gear? can any1 help?


Nway, I think i will keep on driving in D mode even in uphill/downhill condition since the speed is quite normal i.e the momentum helps in the uphill motion. for downhill driving, i'm gonna use d3 since i feel the gear gives me more stability (and i dont want to fall down the cliff!) choyyyyyyy!!!

actually interest rate is very subjective ... it depends on the loan amount and years ... i been told mine would be 2.55%
