I actually quite like the modulo kit for this city, i mean it covers up the "eye pocket" effect on the original E type fog light and looks really cool with black diamond shape border. For that shape to stand out i actually prefer Polished Metal Metallic (i can see the shape) and and don't like silver. But then the overall impression i prefer crystal black.. what do you guys think ar!!!???

Yes, the one in the middle of F and E. Mine is S spec, so I dun have the paddle shift indicator. Anyway thanx a lot 4 ur answer.... gonna check it out again.

BTW, I have another Q, when climbing hill, do I need 2 lower down the gear to D2 or 2 mode (mine is S spec, so I don't have the "S" shift/gear)? My SA told me D2 is for winding road and 2 is for hill climbing. What if i dun change the gear? Will it affect the engine(apart from slower pick up/roaring sound fr the engine)?
*
The optional gear in NON-padde shift model is to lock the gear from changing. You know the time where u always meet a hill that optimal speed sits right between the gear change ratio of 2nd and 3rd (Or 1st and 2nd), and you get really annoyed it chaging up to 3rd when it got enough speed but drop back to 2nd when it's underpowerd (repeatedly) and it's draining the gear box too bits by bits. So it has nothing to do with the engine but with the gear box, ofcousre if you're sensitive enough you can lift your foot the moment its going to change gear to reduce speed, but thats crazy annoying.

Paddle shift already have the capabilities to lock the gear as it's ... well paddle shift-ish. It stay at the gear you've selected unless it's underpowerd.

kekeke. Till now I haven;t know how to use that paddle shift thingy. I dunno how that function and only know can turn it on if we shift to S. In D can we use paddle shift?
*
I've used it on my dad's civic before. It's quite fun and sophisticated, you can shift up manually but when you breaks or slow down, it will down shift to the proper 1 for you, you know i used to be a manual driver for 7 years, it gives more sense what gear to use than paddle shift offered by HONDA so i always have hard time putting proper gear during a corner. But as a hybrid usage, manual up auto down. Not bad.. even thou i didn't bother using paddle shift most of the time.

I'm only using it more often in HIGHWAY, where i want to speed up a little but i dont want it to rev up and go 4th or even 3rd, i can do that without using paddle shift but i have to push my foot really little to sync with the rev so it doesn't trigger the underpower and downshift, but hey... 5 hours to JB can be exhausted on the foot even with cruise control if i'm going to press bit by bit everytime i wanna little speed. Put it on 5th gear in paddle shift.. press with the throttle as you relax your foot (without lifting) and you'll still be pumping little gas thanks to the drive by wire thinggy. And you won't wake the whole car up with the downshift rev noise and the little g force it produce.

Guys my SA introduce me a to get modulo full kit at sungai besi at rm2.3k... he's honest and reliable cause my dad bought the civic from him also so i'm considered return. I trust him but i'm just not sure bout the kit it self. According to his enquiries it's ABS (not fiberglass) and even have the badge modulo on the skirting. Comes from thailand. Is that safe to get? any drawbacks i'm looking for compare to the genieue parts?

That the cover for fog light, actually there are a few different shape for modulo. I have seen modulo for S spec (they cover up the fog light area for future modification), the one that you have mention (they just mold a shape for fog light, stick together with the front bumper), and the one i'm having now. It is exactly the same like the ori modulo. Abs material and all with rubber lining.

There are locally made modulo, thailand and from taiwan. There are a few different material on abs as well, hahaha. My friend who is selling bodykit told me all this shit.  tongue.gif
*
Mind to share abit more on the materiels? I'm very concern about the quality, scare it faded, crack, disorder after sometime of usage. So concern that i keeps dillemma between getting the ori or aftermarket. Ofcourse i'm trying to save money also so if it fail after some period, it's not saving me any money.

the guy who lelong this city is just out of his mind...but proofs that NHC body roar is not tat serious compare to other cars, if my current vios do this i think confirm "turtle back"  biggrin.gif

Most of the credit goes to the sand that lose it's traction. But it does shows the body less roll when breaking.

Have any of u guys did any sort of paint protection in SS2 (Opposite Redbliss), i did one for my dad but i'm not sure what kind of treatment it is, cost bout 360. Is that a kind of PPS. He did mention that the material he uses will bond with the car paint and last for a year or so...

Added on March 12, 2009, 5:11 pmOh he also mentioned that Honda's paint is Acrylic base so the material he uses is Acrylic.

cry.gif i think no one will have a more sad story than mine - my car just 1 week old ...... i am crying right row ....  cry.gif

just now went to Kuchai Lama Entrepreneur Park for a drink with customer .... until about 11.30pm.

i park at a standard parking spot since 6.00pm.

when i got up to my car and drove ... i notice something very wrong, my view is limited ..... then i drove further up by the roadside just after entering the pantai expressway ...... i get down and to my horror, both side of my side mirror ( E spec ) has been torn away .......  cry.gif

why would anyone do that to my car ....... side mirror has no value right now  vmad.gif  ......  icon_question.gif

i try to get you guys some picture in the morning .... now very dark.

all the wiring connection .....  cry.gif my power window all short circuit liao ......  cry.gif

i have a look on the other part of my car ..... so far looks ok ......

how much do you think i need to repair this ?

*
Every thievery starts from the Demand for the objects. In this case i could think of situation like S spec car owner who wish to install E spec side mirror, but think the original one from Honda is too expensive, so they started enquires on local shops.. where do they get it with a cheaper price? definitely not Honda, such complicated device is not ready to have replica yet too.. so best way is to take it from others. The shop may not know how they got thier stock.. it can be many many transaction... but what i'm saying is there is always a demand for such specific items... Why do they take both side? so they can sell as a pair to the local shops...

think of R3... leave your R3 on the street and you pretty much left what the original satria have..

It may not make a difference.. but i really think that if you're looking to upgrade the mirror for the S spec.. go for a trusted source... even if you have to pay a little more... don't contribute to crime.. what you having maybe someone lost and it will never stop.. I'm not starting a blaming game.. just something we should've thought of.. notworthy.gif

You could still sign up in the Forums first. At least get to know the rest of the crew there. We've got > 150 Forum members.
Oh yah, it's HC3.. not the other way round.

In relation to the body kit, actually we're getting an Official Members (OM) price so it's cheaper then non-OM price which
they are quoting RM2,300 - RM2,500 (since they actually supply to Honda Showrooms)..
*
How do i sign up? i'm getting my car most probably mid of June.. and still considering to install a ori BK or not.... it's really expensive thou..
does the HC3 also entitled to get nice price on other stuff like the techlock/boottrunktray/sidestep???
oh and also pps and silicon wiper.. anybody here done that soon?
