You can call this person Mr. Lee (019-4564923), he is the distributor for Aorto Lock.

I don't know if he interested to sell only 1 unit, the last he quoted RM300/set.

It depends actually. It all depends on when you settle your loan, and balance of the downpayment. If you settle fast, then you can get your car fast.
Mine came on a Tuesday, released on a Friday.

If you don't have a favourite number, then just tell your SA just don't get any number with "4" lo. that's all I told my SA.
Mine's alright.. quite nice..

Hey congrats bro! Happy for you that you've got your ride.. smile.gif

If all your payments and all is settled, I think getting your car on 16/17 Mar shouldn't be a prob. I took my car within 3 days of it arriving as well. smile.gif

On number plate.. 1st number has attitude implications?? Havent heard of this, but I am interested to know where you heard it from!! hahah... I'll be doing a number plate interchange for my car in a couple of months, so I am still thinking of number plate for my ride actually... hehe..

Go harass your SA so you can claim the RM625 rebate.! If you ordered your car in Dec, I don't see why you shouldn't be getting anytime soon. Maybe your SA is jumping your queue and giving the cars to others who're chasing him so they can get the RM625.....

As you rightly put it, professional car thieves..
I guess nothing is safe from them. But I guess the main reason why ppl put in steering / pedal locks is
to give us some peace of mind that you've installed something to deterred the many 'run-of-the-mill' car thieves out there.
However, personally I won't spend on a more expensive alarm system nor the Captor RF 'cos the monthly charges are pretty
expensive. If your car is gonna get stolen, there's nothing you can do. That's why we all have insurance policies.
*
Insurance policies only cover up to 90% ~ 95% of your car cost and it takes minimal 3 months before the insurance company compensate you.
During this 3 months you still have to pay your monthly installement for the stolen car.
After which, you use that insurance money to pay off the bank and the remaining, if any - goes to your new car.
A replacement City will still a waiting period of at least 1 ~ 3 months unless you make a booking within the month of your car being stolen.

Do the math - if the car gets stolen, which is more expensive? Getting a new car or paying for Captor? Don't forget, the insurance does not cover PPS, car tint or whatever modifications you have done. If the car gets stolen, I think even after insurance - you stand to lose at least a minimal of another 9k. With Captor, the system is transferrable so the cost becomes a one time deal (excluding installation charges) on top of however long you decide to subscribe to the service - and for all intents and purposes, 1 year is usually more than enough!

Of course, having Captor isn't 100% failsafe, but it's has a 90% recovery rate as compared to 0% recovery within 1 day... unless the person has so suay luck then nothing much to say about that whistling.gif

I agree with what you say, but for what that was said and done.. alot of it is in "hindsight" and alot of "ifs"
"What if you don't spend that money only Captor, and your car gets stolen".. or "What if you spent that money on Captor on ur car and it doesn't get stolen" or "what if you pay for a year, and damn suay the next day after subscription over kena stolen"
I guess at the end of the day.. it boils down to how much you are willing to spend on your car for that extra piece of mind.
I wouldn't mind having all the gadgets in the world, but since I prolly can't afford it.. well, you've gotta go for the next best.
Or lower your risk by parking in covered, brightly lit & secured car park, and try not to work so late..hehe! smile.gif (i think this is the best preventive measure)

edit: Just checked out Captor's website. RM2,100 (System) + RM200 (Installation) = RM2,300 (1st year free subscription) + RM150 (annual fee).
Doesn't look too shabby as what zweimmk pointed out. But too bad I don't have that amount of cash allocated for that.. still wanna mod my car..hehe! Maybe I'll get some lugnuts then chain my car to a tree.. jk smile.gif

P/s: Just to note that the "Recovery rates of vehicles protected with this system show 40% faster recovery and a 95% success rate" is for the Captor RF/GPS which cost as astounding RM4,000 (system) + RM300 (installation) + RM48 or RM98 (monthly charges). Your choice icon_rolleyes.gif

Hello Lame, I am the one that mentioned about your CBP parking at Damansara Perdana. I'm working at Ritze Perdana Business Centre, the building right opposite. I notice you manage to park at the same spot under the same tree quite often eh? Or you never really drive your baby away?  sweat.gif  Anyway nice to meet you here.

Finally I'm able to spend some time updating through the thread. I've been extremely busy over the month. Oh yea my SA just called me yesterday and he ask if I want to get my car next week and I ask him what is the running alphabet now he said it's WSG and I didn't like it therefore I'll still be waiting for WSM which means I'll only be getting my car probably around June  nod.gif

Q1. The green immobiliser light will turn on momentarily (ie. 0.5 seconds) then goes off. This is because it has successfully paired with the code in your key's transmitter. If the code is wrong or something is wrong with the immobiliser system, then the green light will remain on. Check that the immobiliser light comes on momentarily, then goes off. (Hint: Don't blink!)

Q2. Don't quite understand the question? Which page on the manual?

Cheers,
*
Thanks for your reply FooCY.
Q1. I got it, The light turns on and off very fast and hardly noticed it. I thought mine doesn't work but it does. Thanks again.

Q2. On page 74 of our manual, it says: The instrument panel will illuminate with reduced brightness when you unlock and open the driver's door. The brightness will increase slightly when you insert the key in the ignition switch, then go to normal brightness when you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.

Mine doesn't illuminate when I open the door and will illuminate only when I turn it ON (II), does it mean we don't have that feature or there's something wrong with my car.
