People, I have gathered a few infos on tinting fr our threads. Here are the choices:

1. Ecotint (ray barrier ) rm1.3k
2. v-Kool rm1750/2150 - not recommended
3. Lluma rm1.9k - some say it wont pass JPJ inspection
4. Solar tint rm1.6-1.8k
5. Ice Solar Tint rm1.9k (after rm500 disc)
6. Care Kool rm1250
7. Raytech - price unknown
8. Rikecool rm1.2k
9. Solarguard rm1.2k
10.Carecool rm500
11.Sunguard - price unknown
12.Aircool - price unknown

Any1 can recommend better deal/the best tint job?
*
Can you please elaborate why V-Kool is not recommended. Is it because of workmanship or the quality of the tint itself. A good friend of mine is the one who told me to get V-kool because he's been using it for more than 3 years on his Honda Civic and very satisfied with it. My SA is offering the tint to me for RM 1850, expecting to get my car by end of this month.
Thanks.

Hi guys, just want to ask where can I get the NHC operations manual. I will get my NHC next week and I don't think I have time to read the manual (will definitely drive first and only read the manual before going to bed). So I think this is the best time to read it before getting my NHC CBP.
Thanks,

Haiyoh...unless you go pinjam the manual off somebody who got their car already, don't think you'll get it. It's only a week more, be patient. You can read it bit by bit after that. I'm still reading my manual...3 days later. But I agree, must RTFM.
Thanks, I'm just excited and really cannot wait biggrin.gif
I've seen a brake pedal lock while looking at some car accessories shops, the brand is DPlus Lock and the other is Locktech, they are almost the same. Is there somebody here using that lock? Kindly give some input. Or if you know any links about brake/steering lock please let me know. I also heard about gear knob lock for A/T, what is that?
Thanks.

Did anyone know Winguard-Royal brand ar? Is it good ar?
*
My SA offered me that Wingard Royal. The test drive car they are using used that tint. It is a combination of safety and solar film but I find it a bit dark for me. I prefer solar tint only and end up to V-kool, I know a lot of people here are against V-kool but based on my friends experience I decided to go for it. Back to your question, it looks good and if you are after safety and don't have visual problem like me (can't see clearly at night) I think it is a good tint. My SA told me it is about RM 1800.

I found shop at Kepong which sell Lock-Tech for NHC.I've contact him, he offer me RM 380.00 (no special offer for group).

The other one is at pandah indah, selling at RM 360.00, can be cheaper if go by group.

Anyone interested?
*
May I know where and what shop in Pandan Indah? I will get my car next week and the first thing I want to do is to install that brake pedal lock. I am always outstation and don't know if I can join you guys for group package so planning to go there alone if time permits. My second option is to use Stoplock that I've seen in Tesco, Stoplock Original is RM 245 and RM 345 for Pro. For Stoplock users here, which of the two fits nicely on NHC? For RM 100 difference I prefer the Original since I don't see much difference between the two.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

Stoplock is a steering wheel but unlike other ordinary lock it is of a very high quality and looks elegant. You can find it on Tesco, Carrefour and a lot of car accessory shops are selling this lock.

Hi cppau, I will collect my car after lunch and want to install brake pedal lock, please let me know the location in pandan indah and contact number. I've seen the price in Brothers is RM399 plus RM30 for installation. Or is there any member here who knows where can I get a cheaper price of Lock Tech or DPlus lock. I am a foreigner staying somewhere in Jln Ampang and don't know much about all the places here in KL. I cannot wait for a group discount because I will be outstation again and need to travel tonight or maybe tomorrow. Next week I will do the autolock installation.
Thank you.

Just came back from Brothers @ Kelana Jaya (SS6), they had a great promotion for LockTech by VisitLock and ThuLock.. RM99 (w/o installation). But unfortunately, they don't have for the NHC. sigh. I did see however one for the Civic FD Model, so devinz.. if you are interested.. you should head over there to get it. Original price w/o installation is stated at RM368. So it's back to square one for us NHC owners..hehe!  doh.gif
*
Thanks, I just did my brake pedal lock this afternoon at Brothers (Jln Ampang), it is DPlus Lock for RM 400 including installation. They have at least 5 more sets there if someone is interested.
Regards.

I really dont know why I got my car so fast. I heard that most of you guys took 3 months but mine was 3 weeks. I did test drive last 8th Feb and got it last Saturday 28th Feb. I'm about to take Vios because I know waiting time is too long for City but this SA told me when I went to their showroom just to compare City and Vios, he told me if I'm interested I can get it in 5 to 6 weeks. I did not get any discount and freebies but it is ok since I got it in 3 weeks time. I don't really know the agent but it looks like they have a lot of cars because when I collected my car there are about 5 City ready for collection. The place is in Ampang Point Imavest.

It's pure luck actually, if I may say so or... ur SA swapped with others in queue
I too got my car pretty fast. I booked on 19/12. And got mine on 23/1. About a month. Not to mention all the year end holidays. It's perhaps some ppl had cancelled their bookings, and they have extra allocation. What colour is your car again? Did you put a few choices? smile.gif Some ppl I know, just book and just accept the fact that it will take 3 - 4 months to arrive. But if you want it to come earlier, the SA might offer you 'faster', but no discount.. so they just allocate urs ahead of the other guy. At the end of the day, both parties are happy..
*
My SA told me to get my car fast I need a second option for color but I told him any color will do for me except silver because my wife's car is silver. He told me no problem and most probably I will get black and after a week he confirmed I will be getting black.

I am still reading the owner's manual and I saw there that if we turn on our engine (II) all the lights will be displayed and will go off once we start our car. Everything is ok as per the owners manual but one thing I can't see is the immobilizer light (looks like a key). Does it mean our car don't have immobilizer or there is something wrong with my car? Can anyone explain? One more thing, manual also states that once we open our car window the lights on the panel will illuminate but mine did not. I am thinking that after installing the brake pedal lock some wire has been accidentally disconnected by the guy who installed the lock. Please confirm.
Thanks.

Q1. The green immobiliser light will turn on momentarily (ie. 0.5 seconds) then goes off. This is because it has successfully paired with the code in your key's transmitter. If the code is wrong or something is wrong with the immobiliser system, then the green light will remain on. Check that the immobiliser light comes on momentarily, then goes off. (Hint: Don't blink!)

Q2. Don't quite understand the question? Which page on the manual?

Cheers,
*
Thanks for your reply FooCY.
Q1. I got it, The light turns on and off very fast and hardly noticed it. I thought mine doesn't work but it does. Thanks again.

Q2. On page 74 of our manual, it says: The instrument panel will illuminate with reduced brightness when you unlock and open the driver's door. The brightness will increase slightly when you insert the key in the ignition switch, then go to normal brightness when you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.

Mine doesn't illuminate when I open the door and will illuminate only when I turn it ON (II), does it mean we don't have that feature or there's something wrong with my car.

Glad you found the light!  thumbup.gif

I've gone thru the manual and tested it out. I can verify that the instrument panel does not illuminate as mentioned in the manual. I think this is a feature that is available on models in other countries (ie. China/Thailand/India/Australia). I believe it's factory disabled. Not a big deal but good to know that it's not in our ride. Rarely people RTFM like we do! icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Thanks again for the confirmation. What a relief, thought mine got some problem.
There is something wrong with Honda's implementation of owner's manual, you don't know it it is for Malaysia's City or other country. I called my SA asking for the remote control of the car stereo because I've seen it on the manual. He told me City for Malaysia don't have, the remote is for other country. One way of Honda's cost cutting but makes us confused. sad.gif

hey bro..just back from melaka..with my baby (NHC)..just share with u all my conclusion for my trip to melaka with my NHC:
1) Happy  icon_idea.gif : the FC really good..i get 18.4km/l..i think no problem with full tank can reach 550KM plus if highway drive..
2) Unhappy  cry.gif : my Baby really underpower..when pickup..really dun feel the acc. When i side by side with avanza (7 ppl inside the car) with my NHC (3 ppl inside the car). the avanza really overtake me when pickup from trafiic light..HOW COME?? ohmy.gif i do used s mode with paddle shift..do the avanza driving skill too good? or my driving skill to bad??

Overall NHC is quite stable even in highspeed cornering..my record so far for highspeed was 150km/h..quite statisfy for the stablility of NHC.. notworthy.gif
*
I'm also from KL working in Melaka and from highway toll to toll the display shows 18km/liter driving at 110 to 120 km/hr. I did my full tank here in KL, drove to Melaka and used the car there for one week, before going back I pumped full tank and calculated manually my FC, just 11.4km/l. Not impressed with the FC but really love the stability, Im on D mode most of the time and sometimes tried the S mode just for curiosity sake. My mileage now is 600km and going back to Melaka tomorrow, next week will be my 1000km service.

Nope. The range from RM120 to RM130 (depends on the button; 1 way (lock only) or 2 way (lock + unlock).

Hi sysh, and to anybody who has GPS and happens to be at the shop selling/installing the autolock. I really don't know much about places here in Malaysia (I'm a foreigner) and rely most of the time to GPS. Please give me the coordinates and will try to go there once I have free time because I really want to install autolock. I think autolock is a must specially if you have kids like me who always forget to lock car while driving. I've been here in Malaysia for quite a long time but only familiar with places nearby Jalan Ampang where I am staying. I don't mind paying a little bit higher if there is a shop near my place, like what I did on my brake pedal lock that I paid RM400 for DPlus which I think is not as good as Locktech in terms of quality but got no other choice since they don't have Locktech. Somebody here told me where I can get locktech nearby but unfortunately I've already done my lock.
Thanks.

Hey there!!

I'm currently organising a group purchase for GPS, and if you can wait a week or so till I get mine, I'll deffo let you in on the coordinates.! smile.gif Would be more than glad to be of assistance to you.!

On the other hand, I heard you can get it done at Honda, but it'll cost RM400, as opposed to the rest of us who did it for RM100++... Anyway, if you plan to do it outside Honda, from what I understand, the autolock has to be done by someone who knows what he's doing with the wiring, else it could blow the ECU unit.! (And that could cost RM2k and above to repair)...

So far 4-5 of us have done the autolock at GLS Auto, with no complaints... smile.gif

Cheers!
*
Thank you very much Sebaver, appreciate your reply. Kindly PM me the address or contact number of GLS auto, I will ask some of my friends if they know the place and might ask them to go with me to do the autolock. I will also try to look for that place in google maps to get the coordinates if I can, otherwise will wait for your reply. I don't think Honda's RM400 autolock is a wise choice if I can get it for less than RM200 outside, what I need is just to automatically lock my car once I press the brake pedal.
Regards.

I got some info from my friends, he said Lock tech is locally made not from thailand.
*
That is what exactly the Brother's boss told me. Lock tech from Thailand got a new name now and registered their product. The quality of local/clone lock tech is ok so I don't mind if it is not original as long as it can do the job, in fact I think it is better than the Dplus brand that I installed in my car. Both boxes of locally made and Thailand made locktech were written in Thai language. He also told me that there are still original thailand made locktech in the market but he don't have any stocks anymore. DPlus lock is also made in Thailand.

Funny thing is that all the NHCs that I've seen > 5 are like that. Driver's side mirror.. lag of perhaps 0.5s.
To me? I didnt even notice till my club members told me. I was like.. "Until that details you want to check your car? No need la..haha!"  laugh.gif
*
Damn... I've checked mine and also lagged by half a second smile.gif . I also did not noticed anything even I'm always using it twice a day (always parked in a public car park). No big deal for me as long as it works and that lag is not really a concern. Will do my 5K service this Saturday and will complain about the noisy dash board, just happened last week and will see what they will do. Anybody here having the same problem and may I know how they fix it, or can I fix it myself?

guys.. just a question, would you recommend i get my tinting straight via my SA or get it done outside myself.
*
it depends, if you know the actual price outside and your SA offer you a good deal then you can grab that deal. Mine is using VKool elite, actual price is RM2600 but my SA offer me RM1900, got the offer from SA coz I don't think I can get that price if I go directly from VKool shops.
