I went to get my car service 1k yesterday. The service was quick! 20mins+. What did they check, huh? I went to the toilet and then did some call, suddenly the SA came back 2 hand me my keys back saying they've done the service! Am I that lucky or what?
1K service is not exactly what you term as 'service'. It's just a routine inspection on the car, nothing is changed or serviced. It's just for HM to see if the car is in one piece and any problem that you might have experienced in your first 1000 km. Noise, abnormal vibration, leakages, loose items, etc... So...you're not lucky but it's expected. Sorry...

Guys..need help here. My wife keep poison me almost everyday since i booked NHC last month. She asked me y not buy grand livina...bigger, nicer, 1.6/1.8 somemore.

Arrghhh....afraid i 'termakan" her poison and cancel NHC and buy GL instead

Poor Sham88....wife poisoning you eh?
Well, here's the deal. GL is overweight, underpowered...slightly :
- produces 105bhp (1.6 A/T) and 126bhp (1.8). NHC is 120nhp (1.5)
- weight 1245kg (1.6 A/T) and 1280kg (1.8). NHC is 1160kg
Just this point alone, power-to-weight ratio (PWR) is low compared to NHC (at least on paper). GL 1.8 produces 0.0984hp/kg while NHC 1.5 produces 0.1034hp/kg. This should answer your question. PWR for NHC 1.5 is higher than GL 1.8!! At RM97,300 for 1.8...errr...don't think it's a better bet. Also comes with 15" rims 15x5.5J compared to 16" 16x6J on the NHC E-spec.
On a more practical side, it's more a 5 seater than the 7 seater they advertise it to be. All 7 seats up, and those poor souls who have to sit at the back will suffer. Trust me, been there in my friends 1.6 GL. Thank god it was a short journey.
But GL is a nice car. It's a matter of choice and what you need your car to do. If you have a big family and transport them around quite often, the GL might be useful. Fuel consumption wise....errr...I doubt it's any better than NHC. Fully loaded, it might makan minyak more than NHC.
I'd say stick to your NHC booking. Wife will appreciate it when the actual car comes.
