i wanna ask a question.
in the manual it stated there ' if the car's doors
remain un-open for 30 seconds, the car will
automatically lock itself.

is this means that when we're driving, after 30 secs will auto lock??
or when we have park our cars, if we forgotten to lock the car doors,
it will automatically lock the doors after 30 secs??

which one are the one??  rclxub.gif
*
Nope.
It's like this.

Scenario 1
Your car is lock.
1. You press the "unlock button"
2. Lepak outside the car, whistling.gif .. > 30 secs.
3. "Door locks" by itself
4. You go to the car after you hisap rokok, try to open door.. wtf.. cannot open. doh.gif
5. Press "unlock button" again, open door and get inside..

Scenario 2
Your car is lock
1. You press the "unlock button"
2. You open the door and get in, but then start car and start driving
3. You drive to work.. then stuck in traffic jam
4. Then realise.. wtf, car no-auto lock. vmad.gif
5. You lock the car by yourself using the button near the door handle..

Is there something wrong with my car??
I drove back from showroom, park the car inside
my house compound and didn't lock it coz thought that
it might autolock after 30 secs.

after 5 mins, went out to my car to take stuffs
but it wasn't lock at all. rclxub.gif

Perfectly fine. If you don't lock your car after you open the door and come out,
how would it lock itself back (and set alarm again?). The car alarm system is not
that smart. Plus, the car has no auto-lock. That has been confirmed. That's why
alot of us put the auto-lock (i.e. press brake, auto lock)

Thanks bro sysh and bro andy's explanations.
Coz just now right after collected my car,
i went to do the autolock. Thought that they
had spoilt my 30 secs autolock things. sweat.gif doh.gif

Haha, don't thank me. Looks like my explanation doesn't match the new City's alarm.

5.5k rpm @ 160km seems pretty high. Were you in 4th gear?
Cos at 5th gear, 140km I was 3.3 - 3.5k rpm only. Can't comment much about ur mileage, except.. you drive alot?
*
Actually, i reach 5.5k rpm on 4th gear.when i try to overtake my friend satria.but then regret.cos my mileage just only 4.3k km, i already open up the vtec. one of the forumer here suggest to drive above 3k rpm when mileage above 10k km.correct me if i`m wrong... sweat.gif

Ha ha ha...if you do below 3K till 10K km, then I think you'll be one of the slowest NHC around. Don't get me wrong, take care of your ride but don't have to sayang it until running at turtle pace on the NKVE right?! Just my thoughts...cars are made to run, not crawl.

On a separate note : anyone using the USB audio feature on their NHC yet? I bought an iPod Nano 4G and am using it happily with my ride. Have never touched the CD player at all since all my audio comes from the iPod. Don't need to mess around with CDs and keep them in the car.

I'm using both the cd player and the usb. But most of the time on usb with my normal usb thumb/pendrive. I dun have an ipod so I dunno about that one.

Cool bro...I was a little skeptical about using the iPod with the NHC as I've tried to get more info from the net (couldn't find) and my SA (he didn't know as it's too new) but to my suprise, the integration is pretty good. Can control the iPod seamlessly with the audio controls. I'm quite happy with it. Besides, the stock sound system in our rides is very decent indeed.

To the best of my knowledge, NO. Your VS is to your battery, Spark Earth to your ignition coil and high flow air filter to your air intake. It does not make major changes to your engine systems and the ECU will take about 2 days or so to adapt to these new changes, if any. Just drive like normal.

Ic ic... sounds good. That means from the car audio control side, you can control the volume and switch between tracks and folders? It's true the stock speakers are not bad to start off with as compared to my original proton tongue.gif Unless I am an audiophile or an ICER, the current setup is already good for me. smile.gif

Nope. Unlikely you need to reset or tune or ECU 'cos the mods are considered light.
The ECU should be able acclimatise the change in car. But it will take awhile.
You need to drive it for a distance. If say your idling suffers for some weird reason,
then you might need to do something about it. But as foocy2001 said, it's unlikely.

Yep, control volume, switch tracks, random play mode, select playlists, select by album/song/artist and displays the name of the song/artist/album on the LCD display (but only first 8 characters). Thank god for decent speakers and audio system. ICE setups are blardy expensive!

so, it is Ok for me to drive above 3k rpm (actually it reach 6k rpm last night) although my mileage only clocked 4.3k km.??sorry, need ur profesional advice since it is my first time own a car.. rclxms.gif

During my first 1000km, I set on auto-cruise at 110kmph on my way to KL. My RPM was 2.1rpm at 110kmph, but sometimes it goes up to 3rpm or even 4rpm when there's a slope. I guess it's okie actually, as long as you don't fully throttle it. smile.gif
