I did.

The line was all the way to Carl's Jr and that's saying quite a bit if you've been to Mid Valley.

As for the movie, I don't know how to tell anything about it without spoiling the film.

To anyone who's unprepared, do watch closely for the 'layers' of dreams and the ending (describes how I felt about the ending but if you click on it, you may expect what to expect already so depends on if you want to click ->)

Just watched it, and I must say, I was a bit underwhelmed. The first hour, where they introduced the dream world and the rules that govern it, is marvelous. It's only midway through the heist when things get really complex and you (well I anyway) struggled to keep up. I was trying to train my thought on one thing and the film just waltzes past and throws me another Thing That I have To Wrap My Brain Around. To be honest, I think it gets too complicated for its own good at times. Too much on-the-fly thinking does suck away the enjoyment, you know. And there is an emotional centre to it, but again, the reason it doesn't quite work out is because, at least partially, you can't feel the emotions when you're wrecking your brain thinking. In the end, I still have some big questions that need answering. It's either that or they're large plotholes. Probably the former. So I'll watch it again in a few days, and I won't really judge it before I do.

Sounds like the kind of movie where the frequency of watching it correlates with the amount of the plot you'll be unearthing. hmm.gif

Well, there are a few things that I want to confirm tonight but I thought it was easy enough to follow for me. The characters always explained what they were doing before they did.

Thing is it doesn't just require concentration but memory is equally important to dwell into the DREAMS^4. tongue.gif

Yeah this might be true. A few viewings should ably tell if this is indeed an ingenious sci-fi film or one that was just too wrapped up in its intricate plotting.

I had a few questions during the film. I should have written them down lol because right now I can';t remember what those questions are.

There's one here:
Scratch that, I've figured it out. blush.gif

haha yeah. The answers are coming to me now... maybe I just needed to take a step back. But it's pretty impossible to remember all the details, there's just a lot, and I'm not blessed with good memory.

I think I was struggling just to keep up with the movie during the first half
it gets more awesome after that, I think I lost my balance a little when exiting the cinema LOL,that scene with Gordon Levitt going up and down then floating around can result in vertigo
The ending definitely reminds me of total recall
