Is there a way to check if my set is an APAC set?

Mine is zitron set bought from a Nokia store.. So am sure its an ori set.. but on FOTA, it shows no updates found!!
*
then i think u need to try using the NSU to update ur firmware. If still can not, then just go to any NCC to update it !! FREE if ori wub.gif

fast way to check for ori, just make sure ur phone is comes with zitron/avaxx/sapura sticker after you open the tube back cover. But if you purchase from a nokia store, it should be ori.

mikeee. u update through 3G or WiFi?
ur tube can connect WiFi?
*
Yes the tube is Wifi enabled, why don't you connect the phone via USB to your PC and perform the update through PC? Saves phone power as you don't need an active wifi connection to be on.

i had that problem ...at first was updating using the pc...den i actually disconnected the phone halfway while its updating coz nothing was updated...updates all downloaded and all it stays stuck at 15% when installing....den i ran the FOTA..it came back with the no updates..so i reconnected it to the pc and this time the updates that was downloaded earlier started to install...i suggest u to use the PC suite method smile.gif

yeah, thats true. But i have never done FOTA before, so wanna experience it and btw the update is much smaller compared to the NSU version = faster completion = less down time on the tube smile.gif

current firmware v11.0.008, custom version 11.0.008.red.01

i rather use the pc suite method coz it's a major firmware update...also i still feel much at ease using the pc suite method instead...god knows what may go wrong using FOTA as it's a relatively new method

Didn't know about problems updating via PC, it works fine for me. Thing is don't be put off by all the horror stories, as long as you have backed up your phone, then you're quite safe should something go wrong. So far I have used 2 symbian phones, the N70 ages ago and the Tube, and both updated via PC just fine.

Speaking from experience? Maybe you can tell us about the potential cons of using wireless to update, I can think of only 2:

1. Wireless suddenly disconnects
2. Transfer rates are slower

Anything else? hmm.gif
