then i think u need to try using the NSU to update ur firmware. If still can not, then just go to any NCC to update it !! FREE if ori  wub.gif

fast way to check for ori, just make sure ur phone is comes with zitron/avaxx/sapura sticker after you open the tube back cover. But if you purchase from a nokia store, it should be ori.

Well, will have to wait till evening till i get back home to update my tube over NSU then.. dont have my USB cable now..

my set does have those zitron stickers but still cannot understand why FOTA is working for some and not for others even when all are ori sets..

Hmmm....that's about the same time it took via PC/cable connection, but then again I did the update this morning in office and our wifi is super mah fan to connect, security and all that so I used PC.

this 1 because using NSU it is full firmware download, and using FOTA it is incremental download smile.gif

I didn't know that, incremental means they only add and change specific parts of the original firmware, right?

Minor correction, Nokia 5800 cannot be charged via USB cable but you can purchase a USB charger that can charge the phone, one end is the power connector, the other a USB connector. Not true USB charging though.

Speaking from experience? Maybe you can tell us about the potential cons of using wireless to update, I can think of only 2:

1. Wireless suddenly disconnects
2. Transfer rates are slower

Anything else? hmm.gif
*
3. Lost packet...distortion...you know wireless la...

For important update such as firmware dun play play....the safest way still is cable even you don't like

that could minimal the impact...
