i thought

*#7780# is soft reset (all setting reset, user data preserved)
*#7370# is hard reset (all setting + user data reset = like new phone)
green button + red button + camera button + switch ON is same as *#7370# (use it when u can't boot up the phone properly like what ridz is facing)

no ??

I've just updated my FW last night and so far here are my thoughts.

Updating:

Was relatively smooth. Downloaded the Nokia PC Suite then the NSU. NSU attempted to start a few times but failed because I locked my phone. After changing the setting, the phone connected without a problem and NSU proceeded to download the FW. 133 MB....

Thereafter, the updating on the phone took only last than 5 minutes and hey presto your FW has been updated!

Difference:

Frankly not noticeable straight away but like when typing msg, there will be a "Message:" at the typing area when previously there is none. Didn't notice that the side bar for scrolling is any bigger but I did feel that it is marginally more sensitive. The phone also operates marginally faster but can still have a bit of the usual lag.

I also noticed that the proximity sensor is not so sensitive and does not start operating until the person has picked up the call. Not sure this is so that is works more discretely or what. Not sure if its good or not. Never really cared about it.

Programs all generally work fine save that lost some settings.

Problems:

Saw double entry on my contact list but after backing up from my backup it was fine.

Was playing Big 2 when it ended (as I won the whole match), the Big 2 can't write in to the disc and then the whole phone crashed. Took the batt out and restarted. It was ok but can't read the Memory card. Took the memory card out and let it re-read again now it is working fine.

So far, I hope there is no more bug but I have yet to fully explore to know.

Hope my input helps......

After update latest firmware

1. Contacts
a. Why it show all Phone and SIM contacts?
b. After select a contact, why can't go forward (--->) to see next contact. Backward (<---) no problem.

2. Home screen
a. I use "Shortcuts bar" as my home screen theme". There's "Search: Internet and My content". When I open it "System error" WTF?

the only problem i face with new firmware is the colour (home screen, buttons, icons etc..) keeps changing from blue to purple to maroon but only for a few seconds then goes back to normal again.

Have this problem only after upgrading to V20 firmware, my previous V11 no such problem.

Btw i'm using the blue tube is it the firmware different from the red tube?

Just a few question:

1) Which is the best screen protector to use that will not affect the sensitivity of the screen?

2) If I have the light leaking problem can I make a one on one exchange? Mine is Avaxx set.

Thanks!
