I've converted my Hotlink Prepaid to VP+ 50 Postpaid yesterday.

I called Maxis' Helpline before I went to Maxis Center and was told by their representative that I need to pay RM 50 deposit upon registration. But at the Maxis Center the girl at the counter says that I don't have to pay any deposit because I have used my Hotlink no for a long period (5 years IINM).

My Postpaid SIM Card was activated in 1 hour after I left Maxis Center.

I have 2 questions about Maxis pospaid.

1) IINM, postpaid user can share credit with Hotlink Prepaid no. Lets say I'm sharing RM 10 with a Hotlink prepaid user, is the RM 10 deducted from my RM 50 monthly allocation or will I be charged additional RM 10 on top of my RM 50 commitment fees?

2) How often will Maxis update my unbilled amount? I checked my unbilled amount through *100# and Maxis' Website and it shows that my usage is still RM0.

1. Charged on top of RM50. The RM50 is strictly for SMS + GPRS + Calls onlly

2. The unbilled amount will be updated within 24-48 hours.

is it hotlink call rate one country one rate ?

by old friends I meant, OLDER friends who I have not contacted in some time, Eg: school friends, hometown friends who due to work, studies and commitment I have not contacted. Just to note, I did not lose my bf, I left him - partly due to the fact he was possessive over who I contacted (esp my male friends). Anyway, I dont think this is the place (nor is it YOUR place) to discuss about my "love life".

I find that they are very efficient in migrating between Prepaid to postpaid or changing numbers. Oh thats good that you didn't hv to pay a deposit. For the share credit thingy, you're charged an additional RM10. Not only that, if your usage is more than RM50 then you also hv to pay the extra.

Btw, I noticed that I got a rebate of RM20 for 5 mths when I recently changed my number.

I think you will get the unbill amount one month after the date you register.
Cos i get mine on the 7th of every months.

Hotlink just sent me a sms,

Has anybody received this? Is this MessagePlus a new feature or what so ever? I hv just checked out the hotlink site, no mention of this MessagePlus thingy.

It's a feature offered by Maxis, check it out on maxis site. Anyway its not a good thing, seldom see people discuss about this feature ... Just ignore it, it's useless for me...

hey guys. i'm sure ya all are aware about the Maxis Rewards voucher given to postpaid users? anyone used them? some of them sounds too good to be true. any booby trap?
