its not little but to ppl that have broken heart they dont really care if its RM 10 RM 100 RM 1000. Life meaningless already.

For me RM17 my number i can use for 3 months
*
no, life is not meaningless. thats pathetic! Actually its a good time to reconnect with old friends tongue.gif

QUOTE(Joshua_0718 @ Jul 30 2008, 12:27 PM)
Does that Extra SMS include international sms?
*
Nope, only maxis to maxis/hotlink

QUOTE(Shah_15 @ Jul 30 2008, 02:55 PM)

I disagree. If you only reconnect with your old friends when you lose your bf means ure alittle naive. It also shows

by old friends I meant, OLDER friends who I have not contacted in some time, Eg: school friends, hometown friends who due to work, studies and commitment I have not contacted. Just to note, I did not lose my bf, I left him - partly due to the fact he was possessive over who I contacted (esp my male friends). Anyway, I dont think this is the place (nor is it YOUR place) to discuss about my "love life".

QUOTE(mzaidi @ Jul 31 2008, 10:52 AM)
I've converted my Hotlink Prepaid to VP+ 50 Postpaid yesterday.

I called Maxis' Helpline before I went to Maxis Center and was told by their representative that I need to pay RM 50 deposit upon registration. But at the Maxis Center the girl at the counter says that I don't have to pay any deposit because I have used my Hotlink no for a long period (5 years IINM).

My Postpaid SIM Card was activated in 1 hour after I left Maxis Center.  thumbup.gif

I have 2 questions about Maxis pospaid.

1) IINM, postpaid user can share credit with Hotlink Prepaid no. Lets say I'm sharing RM 10 with a Hotlink prepaid user, is the RM 10 deducted from my RM 50 monthly allocation or will I be charged additional RM 10 on top of my RM 50 commitment fees?

2) How often will Maxis update my unbilled amount? I checked my unbilled amount through *100# and Maxis' Website and it shows that my usage is still RM0.  rclxub.gif
*
I find that they are very efficient in migrating between Prepaid to postpaid or changing numbers. Oh thats good that you didn't hv to pay a deposit. For the share credit thingy, you're charged an additional RM10. Not only that, if your usage is more than RM50 then you also hv to pay the extra.

Btw, I noticed that I got a rebate of RM20 for 5 mths when I recently changed my number. thumbup.gif

can let me know what is the main different between value 50 and value plus 50?
*
the rates
Value plan 50:
to maxis: 15 sen/min
to Non-maxis: 20 sen/min

Value Plus 50:
To maxis: 12 sen/min
to Non-maxis: 18 sen/min

the cust service i called says it takes 1-2 days. So how do i check if mine is changed already?

well i only have 1 or 2 numbers in my activ10. and sometimes i call frequently, but mostly sms. this few months my monthly spending is about rm40. coz i topup rm10 only everytime i reload. so is it recommended for me to switch to postpaid?
*

since ur usage is rather small, mayb better stick to postpaid.

maxis doesnt hv as much different2 promos like hotlink but they do hv stuff like free games, free trial services (eg news updates, Maxis TV) and Mobile Vouchers/Discounts for places like Nandos, Dominos, KFC, Jojoba spa, body glove, ect.

oh btw, i just registed for the unlimited data plan (to use my phone as a modem) because the place im having a course for 2 mths doesnt hv internet access.

Apparently registering for just the unlimited data plan (rm99/mth) has no contract - meaning u can cancel it the nxt mth if u dont want to use it anymore - compared to the maxis broadband with the usb modem (rm138/mth ) which has "no contract" - but u hv to pay rm200 if u cancel it within 1 yr.

I went to 'The Star Online' website and saw Hotlink website. The advertisement is showing that we reload RM10 and get 100 free sms.

I just check hotlink website, same advertisement.

The PROMOTION is for TODAY only. Valid for one time reload only.
*
yep, saw it in The Sun today as well.

whats the limit for the maxis family plan thingy?

Can anyone tell me whether I can use the unlimited data package RM99 to online? I mean use my phone as modem?

What is the difference between that and maxis broadband? Which is a better package?
*
yes u can. I used it for two months. Just connect your phone to your laptop/pc and dial the number. I forgot whats the number sweat.gif . U can get the number from maxis website tho smile.gif

The main difference between that and the maxis broadband is, with the maxis broadband you are bonded for a year. Plus the unlimited data package is much cheaper.

speed wise, its slower than the maxis broadband but its good enough. Cant download stuff but surfing the web, foruming and chatting is fine smile.gif

Added on November 9, 2008, 8:45 pmoh forgot to add, it sucks ur phone battery a lot. so I bring my phone charger along with my laptop smile.gif
