confused coz from my knowledge all GTX260 core 216 is 55nm and older core 192 is the 65nm version
but to me assuming both pre-overclock GTX260 Core 216 and non OC version are 55nm. i would go for the factory overclocked version. the thing with graphic card is they vary individually. same model card wont overclock the same. some can go high and stay stable and some wont. but factory OC cards guarantee you the stability at that pre-overclocked speed. and the bios of the preoverclocked version are generally better and more overclockable. if it was the golden sample of gainward generally have custom cooler and it would be cheaper in total than you change the cooler yourself. + changing the cooler does mean u are voiding the warranty (correct me if i am wrong coz from what i see they always have a sticker at the cooler mounting bracket there if removed = void warranty as far as i know la)

just saw the price difference of the sonic version and the reference model. quice a big difference in price.
but to me. those who doesn't wanna do the overclocking ur own self then go for the sonic version if not. go reference design and proceed the modding and overclocking yourself. personally i choose the sonic coz i am that kind of person lol. just my 2 cents

oh yah. some factory OCed graphic card bios tend to overclock a lot better than reference stock clock. Asus 4870 TOP bios would be the best example.

cap ayam casing oso depends lar. come are really bad. usually cap ayam casing their exhaust fan mounting area the holes are small. making the air flow get lowered and if u install really strong fan on it then it will become freaking noisy.

the cm690 side panel fan is directly beside graphic card. not PSU..
u dun need fan to blow PSU. u just need to make sure ur PSU area got ventilation so it can take in fresh air. for those cases that pasang PSU on top of the case the PSU doubles as 2nd exhaust. stock HSF of intel procs the air is dispose all around it so if u have top mounted PSU with a fan at the bottom then host air will be sucked into the PSU then out of the casing.
so those who overclock their processor or have a really hot processor is recommended to have a strong back exhaust fan and if possible a HSF for the CPU which blows the heatsink to the back direction.

it is a dust magnet.. i am letting mine collect as much dust as possible then will take pic and show u guys

might be some general bios issue lar. me and most of my friend kena b4.. just go over to ur bios and load factory default settings.
my friend formatted his PC and flashed his bios just to find out just the stupid bios problem. pissed like hell since have to reinstall everything. big hassel. hahah
my biostar however became like this after i change back to stock speed. i got confused coz on overclocked settings it's ok.

b4 you do if u overclocked your PC please note down ur settings as they MIGHT be erase all together.

he is on a newer x38 chipset motherboard so the raid driver shouldn't cause the problem as the old intel 865,875,915 chipset which raid is just an extra support.
i have 2 sata hdd 1sata dvdrw and 2 pata hdd. raid drive shouldn't cause the problem on newer chipset
my experience on my old 865 chipset is without the raid drive when i transfer file from my sata hdd to pata hdd or vice versa the whole PC will came crawling slower than turtle. even the file transfer speed is very damn slow

=.= u both thought wrong.i live near the bridge. near queensbay lar. the sea water is not exactly clean and when water surut my friend live beside the highway outside his window can directly see the bridge and sea say have to close the window or not very smelly. try riding motorbike cross the bridge at 5am and u will know wad i am talking about. that sick oil and trash smell.. only place u wan good sea breeze is tg bungah and bt feringghi side. outside qb mall not bad still. jelutong expressway part. uh no...

i am leaving my HAF to collect dust as much as possible without wiping it at all. wait few more weeks and see the result how. as for now i know there is a CM690 around with very very geli dust issue. it belongs to my friend. see if i go time to go take photo =D
oh yah his CM690 is 1st gen with the front panel ports on the 1st drive bay punya.

as i said i am sorry lar... just to give him a wake up call only... it's not like i am totally against him lar is just that it is about time he need to know.
i know he got just enough to get CM690 or HAF932. that's why i ask him to choose one and just go with it. he keep talking about getting CM690 the entire thread then just go for it since he already says that HAF932 is ugly to him. very clear answer already.

one of his post saying follow his brother to PC depot to look at some other no brand cases. that kinda makes me mad because of the fact that he even agree to go consider them....

i soon gonna move the 3 red fan to the top... never knew it would be so red.. now i doubt myself -,-

i still recomend u have that 3 fan on top and the bottom fan move to the side panel.. top fan put back or buy extra fans. 3 XLF fan sould be nice.. some white colour to balance it out. bottom fan... if wanna install better have a filter. bottom area of the case where we access least will have a lot of dust. having a fan there without filter is not recommended.
or u can get those white led black transparent blade XLF fan. i know CEX got bring in stock but dunno still available or not since that day i ask they only brought in 10 units
