chinti, booting into DFU mode isn't hard at all. Follow the instructions that are clearly stated in QuickFreedom, Untetherizer and a few other jailbreaking GUI's, and you wouldn't or shouldn't rather, face any problems booting your unit into DFU mode. Also, a little googling would do a lot of help. I googled a lot on booting into DFU mode before jailbreaking my unit. I was so sure on how to do it, but yet, i made one mistake haha

Thats a common error in Cydia man, don't worry about it. It's just your wi-fi connection. It most probably is unstable or slow etc

Any tool, whatever you like. I used QuickFreedom because i saw many video tutorials on it, and i was pretty familiar with it's GUI even before downloading the .exe file, so it all basically depends on your liking.

i try to open map at google map... it's like the map was lost...
but on the night i'm turn on my wifi and do it again... and it's view the map clearly...

one more question.... is it all the map that we view will installed or saved at our ipod memory and we can use it even not conneted with internet/wifi?

nope. unless u JB your touch

by default, it will cache the map that your browsed but with a limited cache memory only. if you wan offline mode, you have to JB

The firmware is the operating system installed on your iPhone. The firmware versions include 1.0.2, 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.1.4, 2.0.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2, 2.1, 2.2 and 2.2.1

To jailbreak ipod touch 2G, better update to 2.2.1
New ipod touch should comes with 2.2.1

To get apps, you can download free apps and buy paid apps from itunes appstore

ok all sifu here hi i have download quickfreedom and hav 2.2.1 firmware ......after i do everything and click on creating firmware...... the % does not move at all..... i m using vista btw... and i wait more than 30 min it stil not moving.... at first b4 i change to admin it gives me error in creating firmware.....but after i read troubleshoot then i set it to admin ed....but it wont move.....after i click on creating firmware... can anyone help ?? i did reinstall the program and restart but it stil wont move
