QUOTE(SpIcYjOe @ Mar 22 2009, 02:29 AM) if i jailbreak my ipod and restore the backup... ain't it gonna just kill the jb??? Added on March 22, 2009, 2:49 ami put my ipod touch 2gen into dfu mode but quickfreedom keep asking me to put it in dfu mode... dfu u mode is the screen which ask u to connect to itunes right? Added on March 22, 2009, 3:43 amnvm... i found away to go into dfu mode.... sucessfully jb in 5 minutes (excluding the time to create the custom firmware tho).... That's great I'm going to jailbreak mine too...just can't find the damn time yet. Jailbreaking on Windows is much easier than on Macs.

Uh? POSIX error? I had that error on Safari downloads when i installed a download manager (which stored itself in the startup folder). I deleted it, rebooted, and it was all good again.

Depends on what tool you're going to be using really. For example, QuickFreedom users do not need to do anything on the iPod Touch except connecting it, and booting it into DFU mode. Don't worry, if anything goes wrong during the jailbreak, you can always connect your iPod Touch to iTunes, and restore it. No biggie

No Cydia on a Jailbroken ipod/ iphone is like eating a rabbit pie with no rabbit in it. Milo ais tanpa milo, nasi goreng tanpa nasi etc

bryanyeo, now using QuickFreedom 2.1, i'll be able to mess around with boot logo's easily right? Or would it like create a new custom ipsw file to be restored using iTunes? That wouldn't be too cool Added on March 29, 2009, 4:58 pmQUOTE(-milo- @ Mar 29 2009, 02:13 PM) @bryanyeo, davidgary73 thanks alot for the replies, and clearing my doubts..i will attempt to jb my ipod when i have free time..wish me luck guys and thanks again sifus Ah bro, i was pretty much as scared as you when i was about to jailbreak my iPod Touch on my Windows machine. Luckily, bryanyeo's tips helped me go through it with only minor problems (caused by myself lol). This post has been edited by Playboy21: Mar 29 2009, 04:58 PM

QUOTE(bryanyeo @ Mar 29 2009, 09:28 PM) Yes, same purpose. So it is actually redtool VS quickfreedom The "view boot logo in recovery" feature in RedTool is pretty sweet. It actually allows you to preview your boot logo on your unit (in recovery mode), before a NOR restore (or whatever lol). I hope QuickFreedom is just as good

No need to download and try again, it's all right.
Just remove the .zip and you're done.

Nope you can't. It's different. You should use QuickFreedom if you're on a Windows machine as it's really straight-forward and easy to perform. Check the first post by bryanyeo. Explains pretty much everything about iPod Touch 2G jailbreaking This post has been edited by Playboy21: Mar 31 2009, 09:19 PM
