I have a novice question to ask...

I know I can connect my ps3 to ATP3 speaker via a Y-splitter cable. However, is there a Y-splitter cable that allows me to connect to both my ATP3 speaker and also LCD TV speaker at the same time?

Also, is there a digital output to my 2.1 speaker kind of connector?

Sorry for asking this kind of basic question but I tried reading the FAQ and there's no direct answer to above.

I just bought a speaker for my ps3. Now my question is, i got one dvd player that's connects to my LCD by using white, black and red cable to AV1. I dont seem any audio out from my LCD tv. Therefore, now i only can use my speaker to either dvd player or PS3.

Now i wonder can i connect my dvd player and ps3 to my LCD and audio out to my speaker using the red and white cable. izzit possible ?

I'm not sure this will work or not. I would assume u're using HDMI from PS3 to LCD. Hence u should have the multiconnector to red,white, yellow cable. Connect the yellow & white cable to Y-spliiter and then to a speaker.

This way u will get ps3 sound to both LCD and speaker...all sifus...pls comment.

hey. recently my ps3 hasnt been able to connect to my access point. dunno why. i thought it was just me.

but today my bro-in-law bought a ps3. and i could connect to his AP. but then after i did a FW update to the 2.60. now its having the same problem and cant connect.

anyone have this problem? anyway to fix it?

how do i connect a normal headset to PS3 ?

i cant use my ATP3 due some spiritual problem.

I got that problem too. The problem went away after I put my PS3's IP Address under DMZ in my router.

yeah that doesnt really work for me.

but i solved the problem. it appears that my signal from my AP is not so stable. sometimes above 50% and sometimes below..... and sometimes wayyyy below. so once i realised this i now have no problem connecting. even if its 20% reception cannot connect. which i guess makes sense. heheh. looking to create a bridge to get better reception.

I have plans to get PS3 this year, if everything else goes well as planned. But suddenly today I came across this article. So should I wait for the price drop or will I have to sacrifice with a non blue ray player PS3. I really want the blue ray function.

um. if you gonna wait then wait for a ps3 slim model. i doubt this blu-ray-less ps3 will be released. it just doesnt make sense. considering the amount of games already released and developed on and for blu-ray.

unless they plan to transfer stuff like MGS4, lbp, kz2, re5, etc to 3-5 dual layer discs.

its a possibility but i doubt it.

hello all I just bought a 60GB PS3 from someone and it's working fine and im enjoying it.

Problem is if I want play online, it tells me to update the system. Should I do so? If i update my firmware, Im afraid I might get YLOD (Coz 60GB very prone to this).

Think about it for a second, if Sony releases a Blu-rayless PS3 what would then happen to current games? So it would mean Sony would tell people to not play any games prior to a release of a non-Bluray drive PS3 is it?

Okay, now if all PS3 games does come out on the PSN(which won't happen, Sony doesn't have the power to control third-parties), then that would still severely limit consumers to playing games. They'll need a bloody big HDD, even if you get a 500GB or even a 1TB(by the time a non Bluray PS3 comes out, it should be here), people will still be limited to downloading games.

More over, not everyone has an internet. Especially if a blu-rayless PS3 is aimed to make the PS3 cheaper, it would also mean for less-financialy stable consumers to grab a PS3. Which in this case also mean theres a high chance they do not have internet.

My point is, NO, theres no way a non Blu-ray PS3 will surface on the earth of the planet for sale atleast.
As for the price cut, its 50/50 still.


All PS3s are prone to YLOD, like it or not.

You're not only missing out on going online, but alot of the new features and fixes the latest firmwares has.
