i just brought a PS3 yesterday, so i want to ask

is there anyway to connect my PS3 to my laptop via ad-hoc connection? it seems like the PS3 only support access point, and i dont have a wifi router

how about investing in a really long network cable or is your modem too far away

my modem too far, if i'm going to get a long cable, there's too much trouble sine my ps3 is in living room

my laptop can set ad-hoc connection and was connected to LAN mar, so i was thinking to connect my PS3 to my laptop and share connection, but cannot

I managed to connect iPhone to my laptop (connected by LAN) via ad-hoc by editing the IP address. Perhaps you need to do the same thing? Manual configuration instead of auto.

I think I wasted RM66 to buy a HDMI male to DVI female adapter and one Y splitter audio to audio.

PS3 game is region coded,however it is playable on all PS3 console. region code is just for DLC's..sometimes DLC is region locked, means if u have R3 game, u can only buy R3 DLC's. yeah, price a bit different. R1 cost more since their DLC came first.. and followed by other region.
you can buy games from any region to play with ur MY ps3.

question 2 is definitely in FAQ. LCD monitor use HDMI or HDMItoDVI cable. speaker is using normal AV cable provided.
means video output is using hdmi and audio output is using av cable/optic.

If im not wrong .. u can play all games in ur MY PS3. Most ppl buy R3 games bcos its cheaper.

for ur question 2 .. u need a HDMI->DVi cable .. and hopefully ur LCD monitor support DVi output and also support HDCP .. but im not too sure abt the HDCP part.
