I think he's asking is there any CD/DVD emulation software that can be runned in PS3 to run the disc image?

this is exactly what i am asking .. so Is it possible ?

i've tried to manually set the ip and stuff, still cannot connect via ad-hoc, it cant detect ad-hoc connection, only access point maybe i need to wait for my cousin to take the wifi router from his hometown ler....

i'm wondering, did ps3 support the input from USB keyboard and USB mouse or not?

and also where did you all buy the ps3 games, i mean original game, i live in seri kembangan here, The Mines shopping mall have a sony centre, but the game they sell not really into my type and they dont have the latest game...

at the same day i buy the HDMI-HDMI cable from the other shop nearby my place because after i go back home i found out that the LCD TV didnt include the cable as well as ps3 i brought it for RM99, it is gold plated, the brand is LG, i felt like being cheated, is really normal around that price?

Hmm, i also wanna find out the prices of the cables ler..RM99 for it a bit expensive ler...o_O

PS3 support USB keyboard and USB mouse... just for surfing or replying message..not for gaming..

if you stay in seri kembangan u can go to connaught giant... nelsonkoay shop is there..reasonable price there...

yes. HDMI cable did not came with ur PS3. it might be came with ur TV if the shopkeeper give it as a gift.
anyway, carefour sold it at rm20.
i'm using hdmi-dvi. rm16 from carefour.

you can use it for gaming...just not for all titles

that time i forgot that the TV actually doesn't come with the cable lar, and nearby my house dont have electric shop also, only got 1, and it is seriously overpriced lar

all cable for me also same lar, i really felt like being cheated, eveyrone brought it for 30-50 while i brought it for 99

whether it be 1 or all,still contradicts your claim that NONE support it

Just that I forgot to buy PS3 component cable, now my Display only reach a poor 576i... Inside PS3 manual got mentioned if want 720i, you will need a PS3 component cable.

Below info is applicable for those who play PS3 under tight budget(VGA-only, non-DVI/non-HDMI LCD monitor)

So basically for a PS3 user with a VGA-only supported monitor(non HDMI/non DVI)

You will need a VGA box/TV box:

1. Not every VGA box can really fulfill your PS3 display needs.

2. So, in order to have a decent quality of display(720i), you will need a VGA box that support PS3 component cable and PS3 component cable(you need to buy it separately, it is not included with VGA box)

3. How to identify whether the VGA box is compatible with PS3?

If on the box it got stated for PS2/3 that would be better, but still you need to confirm the accessories it included:

i) VGA BOX itself of course

ii) Video input to VGA box with 5 female pin connector (which fits PS3 component cable, three pin for display, two pin for audio)

iii) VGA out female port(without including VGA cable to monitor, you have it yourself)

NOTE:

A. How to know a seller quite familiar with PS3 settings with VGA LCD monitor?

Sony PS3 included one RCA cables (RED, WHITE, YELLOW pin)

Both RCA and S video cables only offer low quality of display to the screen (576i)

The only way to have optimum quality(720i) is PS3 component cable(5 pin). If seller keep pushing RM300++ some VGA box without any good warranty + without PS3 component cable compatible female pin for video input + claim any kind of cable produce the same display quality, DO NOT BUY IT they might cheat you paying RM300++ only for 576i features.(such features not even worth RM200)

a good seller will direct you to PS3 component cables and its optimum setting for PS3 with VGA box.(so far I din meet any)


B. Is any LCD/CRT VGA monitor fit for PS3/VGA BOX?

As I know, my monitor(Samsung SyncMaster 732n plus) is been two years before switching PC to PS3, my advice on this, if better you can buy a new LCD monitor that support a decent resolution (1280 or above), OR at least newer than mine.

May I request to add this to the guidelines for VGA box?

720i -> 720p

and on RCA things

both composite and component are RCA, the difference is composite uses 1 and component uses 3 for video signal.
