is there anyway to connect my PS3 to my laptop via ad-hoc connection? it seems like the PS3 only support access point, and i dont have a wifi router

i just brought a PS3 yesterday, so i want to ask
is there anyway to connect my PS3 to my laptop via ad-hoc connection? it seems like the PS3 only support access point, and i dont have a wifi router |

my modem too far, if i'm going to get a long cable, there's too much trouble sine my ps3 is in living room

router need to wait until he get the laptop from his sister from US then only he bring over to KL and use
 my laptop can set ad-hoc connection and was connected to LAN mar, so i was thinking to connect my PS3 to my laptop and share connection, but cannot |
