posted this in earlier post. an update to my problem, send back to SiS and they flashed with latest firmware.. works ok for a few weeks, then all of sudden, without installing any applications, the sms screen shows blank and cannot input text anymore.

read in certain forum that when CE star expired it will cause this problem. or changing the regional settings (date format) will help, but i uninstall CE star and change date format also doesn't work. the funny thing is that it'll work fine for a few weeks after a hard reset.. then the problem occur. another sign that this is failing when all the TF3D files (mediaminihub.exe, applauncher.exe, biotouch.exe) keeps on giving error and cannot load randomly without doing anything.

i don't want to use cooked rom because the phone is still under warranty. and it seems that this problem only occur few weeks after i do a hard reset.

i'm in a dilemma coz if i send back to SiS they will flash the ROM and few weeks later i will end up with the same problem again..

flashing a cooked rom doesnt void the warranty permanently. u can reflash official rom and reflash spl to claim warranty dude.

i have no idea why the files u have give error. but i used to have em to. got sick of it and switched to cooked rom

Try shaks rom from xda-developer. Mine using 4.10 but now the latest is 4.30 dy. Believe me, it is much more better than the stock rom.

I tried quite a few of them in xda-developer.
I like the most is udk Syrius R7 with 12MB pp. Stable, fast and no other extra application that I not needed.
Unfortunately he get a new device and no more cooked ROM for Diamond

For those who like original, clean rom, try aztor. It is fast, but quite a battery hunger. Remember to hard spl before u flash ur device.

Just to share my 2 cents. Keep in mind that this is just my experience and with just a limited number of roms tested, so it is in no way a complete and scientific report. I've tried about 6 different 6.5 roms within the last 2 weeks, found most of them a bit slow and resource hungry (compared to 6.1 roms like aztor). With the exception of udk and BsB's 6.5, the other 4 I tried were pretty bad. Not suited to the diamond. Unfortunately, udk no longer cooks rom for TD, and BsB tends to update so quickly, I have trouble trying to keep up (seems to update to new version every 2-3 days, LOL).

Those with TF3D2 seems to be very memory hungry, often ending up after 2 hours of moderate use with about 80% memory used, or more. The ones with titanium is less so, and seems, to me anyway, less power hungry too. Titanium is rather limited, compared to TF3D, but BsB has this extra people bar on his that makes it a lot easier for me to quickly dial my favorite contacts, so it's ok.

I've yet to try wm 6.5, not so confident with it. May b i will wait until some stable version come out.

The ROM/RAM thing is killing me. All programs are being installed to the internal storage card, but only kept 3 mp3 in main memory...
the mem usage is like 8x%

considering to get a diamond 2 instead...

I think can fetch up to RM1200-1250. Try flash to cooked rom, u will definitely feel better. I heard 6.5 saves lotsa rom, may b u wanna try?

There is no way to remove the preinstalled one except for a cooked rom that already removed the program for u. Act, flashing a rom is not that difficult. U can always ask here.
