1024x852 is not SD...is it?

but bear in mind that it was the first Hitachi 42 inch plasma to be sold in Malaysia. So, who knows, it may have been old stock.

Well, I got my eyes on one of those LED TV from Samsung... If I'm not mistaken it cost about RM6500 for the 42 inch model...

BTW, does anybody know the difference between LCD and LED TV? Which one is better in terms of performance???

But they claimed that this so-called "LED TV" would last about 60 years, unlike the ordinary LCD TV that would last about 20 years oso.

I don't get it... if this LED TV is actualy a LCD TV, would the lifespan of the tv is the same, around 20 years...??

Looks like the price u are getting is quite good... (assuming u still get all the Freebies, eg BD Player, sound bar and HDMI cable). LED definitely uses lower energy, but it is only part of the LCD... depends on how you look at it as this energy saving also may not be significantly obvious unless u watch it daily for long hours... 

Lightings (even CCFL) generally does not consume much energy, I believe only approx 10~20% of ur total electric bill (normal usage)... the rest goes to aircon, washing machines... and anything that uses heater elements are the highest...

Change all ur household lightings to LED (and I mean all), then you will be seeing 40% savings from the 20% of your total bill.... but initial investment for change to LED is huge... as they will require the Powerpack (converter) as well...
For PQ enjoyment, I think it is a good investment if you have the budget for it... Plus it would be cool once you have ur frens coming over and seeing how thin the TV is, they will go WAHH.... WOOO......

Bought a Panasonic 37" S series from PC Fair and self-collect in their shop on the same evening. This morning a call came in and ask me where I stay and wanna deliver a TV for me. I ask what TV... already using what. The fella also blur like hell. Really pity the shop owner as their workers blur like hell and for little profit that might turn into a nightmare for them.
