When there is a demand, so will be a supply.  Most people still buy electronics based on the aesthetics, not 'performance'.  Some even decide what to buy to match their existing furniture colour ....  rolleyes.gif

Yeah...like those current budget HTiB tall boyz speakers...they suck...the actual speakers so puny one...only thing it looks nice and modern looking for the house.
Cannot play loud volume stuff at all...even my decade old mini compo Aiwa speakers are better.

the TV drama I watch has got the channel logo, since i downloaded them from the nrt. But the logos are semi-transparent logo, wont caused any IR. One thing I don't understand about ASTRO is why are them still using the brightly lighted logos .. doh.gif

Switching on and off the TV won't erase the IR even with the newer plasma. At least that is what i experienced. I don't know about switch it off for a few weeks would do or not but I guess no one would leave their TV off for weeks just to get rid of IR, right? To me, the simplest way of getting rid of IR is to play full screen movies intermittenly.

the worst tv channel for plasma i think is ntv7, they have one large logo on top that never disappear until it is commercial time. make me tension to watch tv on my new 42s10 even though i know it is unlikey to have problem with these new plasma model unsure.gif

If you think NTV7 is bad, wait til you watch AXN. The logo is even worse. the AXN word is like super white and bright.

So far so good my Plasma doesn't have any IR at all from TV logos or from playing games hooked to my PS3.

The only IR prevention was the break in procedure and cycled up to 100 hours before using my Panny X10.

that would be an easy way to do it.

I asked jintex's boss what's the best way, he told me there's special CDs that continuously play colour patterns. What I did is download HD demos and repeat-shuffle.

Guys, anyone now enjoy watching bluray movie/cartoon with 3D effect at home?
.....wonder which kind of 3D glasses needed to use to watch *.mkv 3D movies like:
i) Journey To The Center Of The Earth
ii) My Bloody Valentine 3D
iii) Monsters vs Aliens
iv) Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Questions:
a) Are they using same 3D glasses?
b)Where I can find the 3D glasses? How much?
c) Can red + Cryan glasses work on it?

Wonder that can enjoy 3D Movie at home with plasma sweat.gif

If u get ur greyscale and gamma right, u can enjoy 3D pop on BD movies that are not 3D.

The technology for the current 3D is just not there yet. The fact that u use REd/Cyan specs causes serious colour issues that deter the enjoyment of the movies.

But 1stly, the 3D versions of the movies defer from the 2D versions to enable the 3D effect. Your mkvs are probably for the 2D portion of the movies so I doubt u can make that work!

I recently bought Journey to the Center of the Earth Blu-ray United States 2-D and Limited-Edition 3-D . Enclosed in the BD discs are 4 of the 3D glasses and it was really an enjoyable experience watching it. Make sure to watch it at night and switch off the light, the 3D effect is really amazing thruout the movie. Try it...
