Yeah, that's a good point Raichu.

julia88 and samiscool, the other option is trying out this server : http://forum.gamepath.net/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=706 . Beta testing a server cluster in cyberjaya that is not from AIMS or JARING. The results are public and I think even other tunnel service providers would also be interested in the result. smile.gif The GP forum is open for viewing and Eugene pops by LYN forums now and again.

Been using that DC on one of our servers already ...

Quite stable ... well unless they are fooking around. But so far on my service, most ppl prefer servers on that DC over the Jaring and Aims server...

Well i totally got rid of the AIMs server... that was downright ridiculous when it came to stability with them .... and Jaring coming close to getting the BIG BOOT TOO !!!

I'm no addon expert, but doesn't the amount of data transferred from the server to the client remain the same regardless of whether recount is or isn't on?

Or can addons selectively pull extra data from the server?

I normally run raids with recount off, especially in 25-mans, because recount itself takes a huge amount of UI memory.
*
yes and no. recount does pull up more data in the sense that it records events further than what your character needs to know. and monitoring dots data etc pulling from the boss/other players. however compared to previous meters, that involved synchronizing with raids etc, this is much better and for the most part, tend to not be a problem at all unless your connection is horrendously messed up, in which case it wouldnt've matter anyways as you'd be having a hard time playing anyways. unless of course you're fine with having post 1k ms latency and/or frequent disconnects.

Like i said, remove all will be best ... but many wont .... just just use whats really necessary ... I can almost guarentee you feel better performance.

Tunnel service isnt GOD lol, it can only do so much .. sure it helps reduce ping and all, but if you guys bite the bullet some and disable some stuff, guarantee you happiness with raiding . Imagine 60-70 users on a server all contributing and reducing some modules... less strain on the server... less lag for u, less lag for all, less headaches for the owners tongue.gif

Hey Raichu, I think you also feel the same pain with AIMS and Jaring. I'm also getting a lot of trouble with these 2 networks lately. Must be something wrong over there sad.gif

Yes I'm quite glad with the new CyberJaya hosting as well so far mostly positive feedback.

Which server among our six uses this DC, raichu?

I'm currently configured to access Server 5.

So far my new network 25X doing well. No complains! Quite glad to have found a solution to the current network problems in Malaysia.

Well the last 3 days been stable, we did some minor table tweaks and reduced latency a bit more. No lag , spikes or DC during 25man raids, with Jaring or TM . Been a nice QUIET weekend. I actually got a chance to play instead !

Man, tunneling services must a b**** for you guys to set up for us Msia people.

I got a 115.132 IP, downloaded 95k/sec from Rapidshare (yay!), but youtube videos streamed only at about half the speed of the video (i.e. . d/c'ed, got 118.101, and the exact same youtube video completed d/l'ing about 1/4'way into the video length. Yay!

but so far, touchwood la, no major hiccups with the connection, i guess. because i'm getting between 500ms and 600ms all the time these few weeks regardless the time i login, and it's kinda stable all the time. comparing to previously that were between 800ms and 1200ms, that is if i'm lucky enough, LOL

Like Moogen said to me... everyday should be holiday for TMnet. Been nice and stable since they were on Raya holidays and didnt fook with the lines !!!
