the nostalgic feeling was so overwhelming when i pulled out the valk out off the box...i've been longing for a macross since i was 10...just few hours ago i hold my first ever valk after wishing it for 18 years...

Pics yo! I've been wanting one as well. But thought of getting a Super strike VF-1S Hikaru for now. Wonder if they will reissue one soon since they've just released the anniversary version not too long ago.

The movie version VF-25F comes in an off-white colour scheme and a lighter tinge of blue for the fast packs. Quite like the colour combination myself

They are more or less the same price actually Yeah, I remember my first Mac F valk.. Michael's .. the feeling when taking it out was surreal~~

Yea was really excited about the TV version but I'd prefer Hikaru's black and red colour scheme
But if the local price is right I might just give in for Roy's TV VF-1S

Congrats on your haul. It's a great piece to own. About the color, yes the VF-25F Fast Pack version is not completely white and it does have a blue tinge to it. It kinda matches the bluish Fast Packs.

well here is mine old picture of VF100 escorting zeta plus and ex s gudam in waver mode.

due to i only have a cheap-ass shitty phone camera, i guess i'll wait for a better camera so that i can vf-whore my pictah here

anyway. apart from the i'm fully satisfied with the dx...can't help to whine about some of the minor drawbacks of the messiah..and no it's not about the hand-swapping...i'm totally okay with that...

the tail area seems can't support the weight of the fast pack wing in booster as it keep fiddling down due to there's no support..like some kind of rod that connect the back and mid area...

one of my wing make a crack sound whenever pulling it in and out...

some joints are very stiff...

so far those are my issue with my few hours old vf...i can live with that but since i've paid alot of $$ for it..breaking some of the pegs really worried me tho...

some say bandai's is more durable than yamato...i don't know how true is that since i never touch a yamato before..so what your guys take on that?

I think it's about the same? But apparently there are shoulder cracks for Yamato's 1/60 line, though I have not yet checked my Valks. but I love the paint job and the tampo printing on the Yamatos much better.

am not an expert of this Bandai vs Yamato thing...as i only have 1 DX VF25 compare to several 1/60 yamato...
cant make comparison with only 1 bandai..my DX VF25G do have flaws, left shoulder kinda loose compare to the right one..but that's bout it.

yes, as we paid a lot of $$$ we need it prob free...but i guess that the risk we have to face...

I only have 2 DX but from my point of view Bandai'sjoint are always tighter compare to Yamato.. my VF25 knee joints are tight compare to my Yamato VF1s.. But both have there plus and mnus...i acccept all as i just cannot tahan myself from buying them

bandai v yamato debate never ending. both have its pro n cons. but for mac f, we got no choice, bandai's the only one with the license

as for breakage, well, my VF-25G's arm broke on me on the first transformation. the screw at least. fortunately able to just get a new replacement screw and DIY. of coz, after a year, its a floppy mess dy...... sigh

my initial plan was..get the messiah and get over with it...i planned to only have 1 vf for the sake of fulfilling my childhood dreams...

after flying thru this thread...now i'm not so sure...and that yamato latest offering is somewhat tempting....i've made a mistake going thru this thread in the first place...

i tink its the same with all of us here. buy 1 first, then "oh, this is nice too" then "i might as well get this to complete the set" and it never ends

i started with VF-1A, then end up getting VF-25G, VF-25S, VF-25F, VF-27, YF-21, VF-11B, YF-19, VF-1S, VE-1, VF-0S, SV-51... now looking for a good deal for RVF-25 to complete skull squadron

and thats jz the 1/60 scale!
