yup.. but remember that n series cant play all kinds of mp4 files. i tried downloading mp4 videos from youtube and playing it on my friends n85 (big bro of n79). some of the files are playable and some just can play out the sounds and no video.

maybe you could also try installing a 3rd patry video player for your n79.

if you want an easier no fuss solution, just tape something like a cut out cigarette box and paste it on top of the light..haha.. now nobody can see u. silent hunter kind of recording la.. no sound and no red light.

are you indoors? internal built in gps CANNOT be used indoors or around high rise buildings in urban areas.

go outside where it is clear but it till take 3-5 minutes to find your position. if you turn on agps-assisted gps, you will be charged for 3g data but the lock on time will be much much faster and can be used in urban areas.

hmm does the n79 has a red light for focusing? didn't notice on mine... just only found out that the preflash can't be turned off... i initially tot that when u turn the flash off it will not come out.. hehe...

maybe need to start h**king the phone already...

but funny la.. unlocking the phone not consider h**king meh? then how come the iphone section got so many stuff toking about it also wat... still noone gets banned wat... somemore pinned thread...

cos it not that it is something illegal to do wat, it's not as though we are getting pir*ted version of softwares and stuff also right? maybe a mod can confirm on this?

maybe it'll just void your warranty ( not sure about this though, could someone confirm?)

sorry, bcoz i dunno exist of the "h@@king" word will have so much effect. Do i need to use "unlocked" insense of using "h@@king" be more suitable?

1)if i go to download apps in zedge.com o other web site, will the apps need us to install other things 1st before install d apps? Eg. I go to install theme in zedge.com,require me to install ownskin o animator 4 1st before success install in that theme.

hi guys.. please help me to decide between n82 (i know its an old model) and this n79 baby... the aspect im thinking is the camera as i take pictures alot including night too.. i'm a girl here so i'm tempted to get n79 coz of the size but am questioning abt n79's camera at night.. with the dual LED.. izzit clear enough??

hi Booster, It's a nokia 6170.. but i think i finally manage to figure out how to transfer the contacts over. I didn't notice that this old nokia also uses the .nbu format. Was worried that it would transfer everything over, luckily the nokia suite was able to let me choose backing up and recovering only the contacts. So Ok now! thanks

But the new Ovi suite, really not user friendly... sigh... till now still can't figure out how to manage the contacts (on the pc) and also the smses. (easier to do some housekeeping with the pc)... used to be able to do all these with those super old nokias with IR ( no colour ones)

Added on March 27, 2009, 12:42 pmi was also considering the n82 before this. It depends on what you need. If you need a great camera with xenon flash, no need to think, can go for the n82.

If you want something slimmer(n82 quite big, just test it out), looks nice , better battery life and can sacrifice a slightly lower picture quality (for indoor/night), then go for the n79.

I saw my frenz N85 n my bro N82, their hp will show the date n time after set "power saver" in "now playing", but why i on it also do not has anything show?

If the internal memory been used up (seen some installation must consume internal memory), will any problem occur?

alamak didn't notice the phone got zip manager already.

But how come eveytime i open a zip file, it keeps wanting to connect online (like when i connect my data cable or pull my microsd out) and when i really connect. there's an error msg out... states:"Drive new drive unavailable. Try again?"
