a simple check on mudah.my can give already answer one of ur questions... or at least give u a rough estimate (coz autos not many around....most people would buy a normal 1.6 engine instead of an SiR if theyre gonna go auto...like damn waste buy auto for a B16A)

QUOTE(ozak @ Jan 30 2011, 03:42 PM) 06, 07 wiper mounting is different with the 08 and the latest. Look closely. The wiper mounting and the wiper is more nice design compare the normal one that latest civic having now. i see... then mine is 08 batch. But the problem is, no silicone wiper in the market for the old design. After some research, I think PIAA VERA suitable for Civic 08 onwards. Other than PIAA, any other choice? |

But one thing you cannot soundproof is the front and back windscreens lah, so no matter what there will be sound from there especially if raining. Another is to change tyres, but the effect is depending on what tyre models. My recent change from PP2 to PS3 makes a big big difference in terms of noise level. PP2 is really noisy lah. Does anyone have a Civic FD Hybrid in here? My friend's hybrid has a K.O'ed battery after only 1.5 years of use (although he's covered damn near 50,000km in that time).
Anyone else facing this problem? Thankfully, still under warranty, so Honda Malaysia has agreed to replace the battery. Otherwise, it'd burn a RM10k hole in his pocket. |

Yeah; the Civic Hybrid has a 1.3 powerplant and is assisted by an IMA electric motor (that has a battery). During hard braking, the battery will charge, and upon hard acceleration, the battery will power a motor to give extra power/torque.

Yeah last time the price of the battery is 12k now reduced to 10k already . It will need replacement every 10 years that is the lifetime of the battery pack. If k.o within 1.5 years it should covered the warranty . Lucky honda agreed to replace it f.o.c Recommended for hybrid ppl don't mod ur car with sound system and touch the wiring system otherwise might fakap the car itself |

Any new tyre sure noise level is low. Anyway, my next new tyre wishlist is PP3 too. So far, Honda don't have a track record how long the battery can last. Everything is still new. I rather wait and see before jump into the hybrid car. My friend's Civic Hybrid is completely stock. Warranty of the battery follows the warranty of the car, so 3 years.
We asked about the cause of the problem (as we wanted to know how to avoid this problem in the future) but the Honda SC we went to was not able to give any reason/root-cause for the issue. There's another 1.5 years left to the warranty so let's hope the battery either: 1. Keeps strong 2. Dies off after 1.4 years |

Even it kong after 3yrs, it still look bad for this honda hybrid. When people start to folk out rm10k to replace the battery, I believe Honda can pack their hybrid car back to japan. Bad thing spread fast.We asked about the cause of the problem (as we wanted to know how to avoid this problem in the future) but the Honda SC we went to was not able to give any reason/root-cause for the issue.
