Project Hail Mary. Half way through and I'm already hook with the plot!

I just started, about chapter 4. I usually don’t like first person perspective, it’s a hit or miss, no in between. But so far I’m ok with it.

Just finished reading The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell. I'm quite disappointed with Lisa Jewell latest book.

I rate 2.5/5. This is a slow burn mystery that will take time to reach for the climax. Too much dramas between Tallulah with her husband and friends which totally annoying. The characters are flat and unlikeable.

Author's previous work such as Then She Was Gone and The Family Upstairs are much better.

I will share more books that I read in the future.

I prefer to read thrillers, horror and historical fiction. smile.gif

For non fiction, it depends on the subject.

Finished The Midnight Library, very quick read because content quite light, the book is quite good, some paragraphs even remind me of myself, worth for a read smile.gif

My next read is (one of my favourite author) :

1984 By George Orwell. The book is now in public domain in most countries except USA, so it can be found for free or bought really cheap.

A story set in a dystopia controlled by a totalitarianism government party. We get to experience the dystopia through the protagonist who starts to gain individuality and starts to rebel.

I would highly recommend this book to everyone. Even though the book was written in 1949 the themes are still very relevant and somewhat relatable today.

Yes the midnight library is good, very relatable.

Currently Reading: Dark Roads by Chevy Stevens

I just gave up a book called The Moonlight Child by Karen McQuestion. That book is way too one dimensional and uninteresting characters. Repetitive descriptions. Couldnt bother to continue further.

Now I know why most local people avoid public libraries in Malaysia.

The book collections are not updated, catered to 1 language mostly, and heavily with religion book collections.

I surf Overdrive by the PPAS library website, the e-books that are available to be borrowed are not interesting.

Have you tried Libby? I linked my local library card with it and the selections are pretty wide.

Have never been to the local libraries honestly. Ever since the introduction of ebooks and kindle? I dont really have to worry about where To find books anymore.

I just finished reading The Moonlight Child by Karen McQuestion. Picked up this book after seeing rave reviews about it.

The book did not exceed my expectations. I kinda expected the "twist" that the author was heading to. Just 2.5/5 stars for me.
