Can someone guide me on how to install the Garmin XT, seems like this is a nice GPS software(as recommended by user), anyway I didn't use this kind of software before, so I really in need of a guy who can guide me on. notworthy.gif

Hi reeve, read the 1st page tutorial first and if you are stuck at certain parts we'll gladly help to guide you. This is because you need to have some basic knowledge on it first. At least when we explain you'll understand all the terms we use.

It's not that we are unfriendly or anything, it's just for the convenience of both parties... so anyway happy browsing! biggrin.gif

minor good news for symbian users

http://www.symbian-guru.com/welcome/2009/0...y-released.html

only setback , it doesnt come cheap
*
Tried it already (trial)... Doesn't play nice with the virtual keyboard yet... sweat.gif

And on a side note... Do you people actually notice the fact that the 5800 ALREADY comes with Japanese fonts (or at least the Avaxx/Zitron sets or the APs that come with the APAC firmware)?

Now someone had better start designing Jap input options for the virtual keyboard (come on, Apple could do it) AND/OR (even better) the handwriting recognition pad... Already tried +J, Crystal Japanese (both pure phail)... hmm.gif

It's like, the ultimate Japanese enabled Nokia phone!

Well it is better to go for the authorized set which can be anywhere from RM1250-RM1400. The AP set does not differ much.

Authorized set will be Zitron or Avaxx. From the retail price in Nokia Centres, it is now selling for RM1,399 so it shouldn't be higher than that.

I think many folks here need to be more hardworking to get what they want. Remember, google is your best buddy. After all, I think a lot of us here who may be what I call more "experienced" found out the hard way too... i.e. research starting with google. For eg. I found out about garmin and all the details by starting with google and then reading forums after forums. It took me a a few days between work to understand everything fully and getting the stuff that I need.

But over here, some pple even lazy to read the very first page!!! Straight away, "How" this and "How" that! For me, its simple, if you want something, you gotta work for it. If you are too lazy, then forget about it. Don't expect to be spoonfed. Like this thread here, no one asking anyone to necessarily read the whole thread from version 1 (altho' you may pick up something extra from doing so). But for god's sake, at least read the damn 1st page of version 5!!!!!

Actually, its all these questions about Garmin and Virtual Key that is getting to me. Please go and do some research! If you are too lazy to do it or no time to do it, then dun use garmin... simple as that. As for the rest of the pple here, yes, point and guide the newbies to the right direction, but dun spoonfeed them thereafter. Guiding and spoonfeeding are 2 different things!

+1 full agreed....

we know that everyone is not IT/GADGET pro....but just spend sometime on the world most famous searching engine aka google...you will get to find almost everything....

say no to spoon feed....question like how to uninstall....how to add this add that....everything is in the guide book...dun be lazy.... smile.gif

Just imagine you keep on asked by ppl the same question every time....frustrated eh? rclxub.gif

Any of you guys can recommend any good high-end earphones? In ear ones would be good since I'll look ridiculous walking around with a big headphone over my head.

Oh yes, please state price as well, thx. notworthy.gif

wah...finally...this thread is moving at super speed la...every time open, another 10 pages to catch up...90% crap (stuff that can be found on the 1st page, stuff that has been discussed etc.)

pana, maybe you can edit the title to say, "read first page before asking or be ignored" =D
