QUOTE(lex @ Sep 24 2014, 02:09 PM) Why don't you check the official manufacturer's website? Its a simple search only, here: Texas Instruments: LM1875. Its still a Class AB amplifier like the original TDA2030 (and not Class B), and even looking at the datasheet sample application schematic already very indicative of the design of this power amplifier I.C. There is no difference between those two I.Cs there, as they are practically the same device. The "NOPB" simply means "no Pb" or lead free. Since its in TO-220 format (about the same as the original pentawatt format), you may need to bend the pins to accomodate the original pin postions on the board. As for finding them in Pasar Road, you may have to search high and low though as these may not be easy to find (or may not be available there)... Most speakers have an internal crossover network circuit (usually high pass and low pass filters) that splits the amplified audio signal into different frequency spectrums for each driver (namely the woofer, midrange and/or tweeter). Furthermore most speakers usually have a pair of wires (two wires per speaker), that includes your Ego 3nity satellites (just that the single cable has actually two wire cores inside). All electrical devices such as speaker requires a return GND or a negative rail, thus minimum is always two wires per electrical connection. For the first issue, Ive went to jalan landak, in front of pudu plaza. Finally found and bought 3 TDU2030A from this shop Online Component Sdn Bhd. They still got a few stock left. As for the one about the speaker, I'll look into them. But usually the filters are located inside the woofer right?

As for those speakers, the crossover is usually located inside the speaker enclosure. For cheap speakers, they usually use a simple capacitor (anywhere from 4.7uF to 10uF) for the filter. For more expensive HiFi speaker, they usually have a dedicated crossover ciruit board (with capacitors and air core coils/inductors)...

Bought the board from the net, plug in transformer, changed 6.3mm socket, DIP8 socket and change OPAMP from NE5534 to LME49710, hook up line in, good to go.

i have this tripath TA2024 class-T amp. looking for a nice pre-amp. since i am using a smps 12v/4A for this amp, it's best if the pre also share the supply. any recommend? CKD version also ok. i can DIY my self.

Just get a stepped attenuator for the upgrade (passive pre-amp, although the word "amp" is pointless in this context) Save the money you'd spend on preamp for upgrades later.

Is stepped attenuator a kind of vr? where can i get it and roughly how much for a stereo one?
