Selling Agger will bring me back to that dark day when Fowler was sold.

But it will even more painful if he leaves. Young, comfortable with ball, great future, score goals, commanding. And a good partner for hardman Skrtle...

What is wrong? we can pay for Dossena and Pennant and cant afford to up some $ for Agger? WTH is the management up to, letting Milan come and buy one of our top player?

It's easier to say than done.Look at the team, if agger's demand is fulfilled, I bet the likes of Skrtel, Riera might want a pay rise too. And not to forget that the yanks are well-known miser, increasing Agger's demand will make them earn less money, from business prospective. nod.gif

if its due to the misery Yanks, then our team is definitely in the wrong hands...
And yes, Riera and MArtin deserve a payrise thoroughly if we do well this season...

for me, honestly, watching Agger is a joy. so elegant and comfortable with the ball. Reminds me of greats like Hansen, Baresi, Kaiser...(i mean, you dont expect me to watch Rio right?)

i think his agent advised him to pretend to be interested so that he can demand a bigger salary.

One wonderful season and give a payrise? I m really against this. Look at the likes of Gerrard and carra, they dun get pay rise just because one season of wonder. Riera is here for only erm, 6months? And Skrtel 1 year since last Jan.

I think they shud prove themselves and improve more before demanding for pay rise...And I dun think Agger's demands shud be fulfiled...from 35k per week to 60k per week...thats crazy...

i am not talking about 30-50% la...maybe 10-15% la for those 2...

but everything is about market price ma...
so, IMHO, for Agger..its difficult to give put a price on his head without taking into comparison of others....i wonder how much fellas like Vidic, Terry, King, Rio, earn? perhaps Agger shouldnt be as high as them but i dont think he deserve way lower than them too..
for example, if Rio is in the range of the 100k week earners like Gerrard, wont Agger deserve 60k? just my 2 cents...

I wish I have the modifier like I used in FM. Extend their contract to infinity..

I think the best move is don't agree with his demand, let him play more and he'll be happy in no time..Let this 6 months for him to prove himself whether he is worth like his demand (I bet he is..).

"Pressure? That's nonsense. There's no pressure for Stevie – he's played in two European Cup finals. Is there any pressure for the Spanish lads who played in the Euro 2008 final? The games they have got coming up are like getting out of bed in the morning." - Macca

good old macca, he should've sent that reply directly to mr. ferguson tongue.gif

Soccernet news said Agger deals is sealed. Around 7.5mil pounds. I hate to read that, even if he is gonna leave Liverpool, it should be at higher price. His skills and ability is beyond that price. But remember, the news is only rumour. No official news from LFC.tv yet.

But good news is, Alonso is back with us. He can feature in this week Everton games.

Is this a way of showing his rage over the stalled contract talk with the owners? He can stand in the way on Agger's move, but the owners will have the final word. So no point in protecting Agger as he himself won't be in here in mere future. This starting to look like cheap drama plot, where internal conflicts will destroy an organization..
