cause you mentioned RM 400 ma, I lurk around website mostly RM 600 to RM 700 per night even devided those days/nights package oh. uhmmm

have you check mataking? bit expensive good thing is the island reef still intact. After visit si padan island 1 day, you can snorkeling at mataking.

sorry for late reply. cuz juz back from bangkok. even not dive the price still same. if you really travel to Kapalai, remember buy more drinks inside, even wine also can enjoy during u dinner there. very hot!!

flying to semporna next month..

1st day -
arrive tawau airport morning 9.50 arrived,
take taxi to semporna...
booked sipadan inn 2...
look for tour to mabul for day 2...
spend time in semporna... (whole day can do what? any recommend) [maxsua]

day 2 -
mabul island lor
anything else?
after mabul, take taxi to tawau...check in vs hotel...
night in tawau dinner(any good food?)

day 3 -
tawau whole day until flight (9.10pm) can do what here?

lol. I stayed at sipadan inn2 and vs hotel before too.

semporna basically nothing much to do la...just a very small town. if makan i recommend the chinese restaurant which is same row with scuba junkies office. the food is very cheap and gooding if you order from the menu where the dish comes with fixed price.

basically, semporna got nothing la.

I guess you are non diver, so 2nd day just go mabul island snorkel lo. U will back at semporna at around 5pm++ d

For me, I won't recommend you go to Tawau. Might as well spend another night at Semporna. Then 3rd day, go Kapalai island snorkel around, back to semporna at around 5pm ++ then terus take taxi go to Tawau airport.

unless u had found something interesting at Tawau la, then i no comment, if not, just skip it.

can anyone provide all the travel agencies that provide packages for sipadan/mabul/kapalai?

just came back from tawau

i spend 3days there..below my itinerary for reference to those who wanna go.

1st day/Semporna
- arrive sipadan inn 2 hotel.. not bad. share a room with 4person!
- walking around...it is freaking smelly and dirty bcoz the pasar is there! due to puasa month, very limited place to eat...
- rest in hotel...
- walk around the jetty, streets and dragon inn resort. have dinner beside sipadan inn 2 hotel...

2nd day/Kapalai - Mabul
- checkout .
- spent the whole day at kapalai and mabul (2in1)
- transfer to tawau city, eat seafood. (not cheap la )
- check in vs hotel (not recommended,ewww)
** for those who go for 2in1 kapalai+mabul, pls spend more time in kapalai, mabul snorkeling not so nice...

3rd day/Tawau
-sleep til 12pm, check out and walk around
-nothing in tawau!

tawau seafood should be cheap la compare to sandakan...

tawau not much there..

KK seafood much cheaper compared to tawau...i ate at Kamling Seafood.

walk through the pasar gantung, but nothing nice le...very crowded. im sure pasar payang at terengganu better! hahaa
end up went to eastern mall watch movie..LOL

i mean not crowded with ppl but sempit..
