Those got stuck due to conflict there can opt to just spend more days in Tawau or take a ferry ride to Indonesia Kalimantan side.. Still a wild frontier and exotic..

Pulau Nunukan is just South of Tawau and further South can try Tarakan

I m just phoned Uncle Chang Scuba Dive Center. Mary Jane (the one who get my phone call) told me business as usual. Boat is actively transferring tourist to dive in Mabul.
