I got a problem here..
tried to install Ubuntu many times but failed..
my lecturer said my DVD drive is lousy (Matshita brand)
i denied his statement since i buy ASUS brand.
Try to use Samsung Dekstop DVD Drive via USB.. same result..

so is there anything that i can do to make sure that i can install Ubuntu in my lappie? such as Bios update? etc..

Try to install Ubuntu in other lappie n desktop using same CD, no problem occur.. so its not a cd problem..

My Asus lappie is frustrating me.. I hope im wrong.. Anyone plz help..

any other recommendation..??

Ok i wanna ask about the model X50GL20DXP7350. The price is 2599. it has a p7350 prosessor compared to the other same model with T6300. ive asked lots of shops and a dealer. funny thing is they tell me its out of stock and obselete, but its quite a new model. the one with T6300 is available but i much prefer the P.
Is the anyone here with pics or know how the notebook looks? coz i cant find info on it. Is it glossy or matte?
So i called Asashi n they r like the only one who has it so i have to order it from them(im from sarawak btw) that means warranty i gotta send it back.
So tell me the status of this model, is it faulty or being called back? and the looks. Oh and i heard new models of Asus r coming out like this week or the next. so maybe i should wait..

theres two types for that model. one with the P7350 and the other T6400. i obviously want the P coz its better but to find it is x.x

er means....T series proc is newer compare to P series proc in certain model?
but P series is faster than T series.....

hello eveyone...HELP!!!

i just bought my new asus laptop X59sr this monday...here comes the problem.

after the salesmen help me set up the os, i found that the speed of the laptop is a bit lack..it doesnt look like a 4 Gb ram..
then the salesmen told me that its bcs the laptop just set up so it will slow a bit..and once after u use it in future, it will be normal..

however, after i hv used for few days...everything is ok..with good performace..but the speed of the laptop is still the same when loading.
my fren told me tat its bcs the laptop need time to boot at start up..

but then it still the same after the laptop loaded completely, when i click on 'my computer' or 'control panel' it load slow..
i feeling it slow bcs i hv seen my fren BenQ laptop with just 2 Gb ram is even faster than mine a lot..
this speed sometime happen again when i copying file to external or while installing thing...

then i recovery it ..it become faster ....however, when i shutdown and start again, the speed slow again...

i called to the dealer, they said 'asus punya ram memang macam itu', this make me so angry!!!
as i know asus is very good quality when compare v others.

can anyone help me find out wat is the problem?and wat should i do?????
my fren ask me to exchange a new one if the prob cant b solved since its just few days after purchase..is tis possible???

Hi guys. I just bought the Asus X59SR notebook. I've one problem though. How do I turn on the bluetooth? I've the driver installed, but I can't find any switch or button on the notebook to turn it on!

The small panel at the bottom shows that my bluetooth is not turned on because the green LED did not light up.

Any advice guys?

Since in UK i'll be walking alot so weight will be an issue here and i try to focus more on 13" rather than anything bigger.

I did had a thin about the N10J but i don't know if i can hang on to the screen for long, alot of work will be done so i think anything with screen smaller than 13" is out.

f8vr model. i found out that the right side ( about 3cm ) of my screen is dimmer than the rest. Eventhough i jacked up the lighting to the max, there is still some difference in the brightness.

Any help please?
