QUOTE(crapoccur @ Apr 27 2010, 01:29 AM) Don't know yet. Am very keen though. Even with the postage, they are a touch cheaper than the Italian stuff Binwani sells. With cloth, it makes a lot of sense to disintermediate the intermediaries. Kill the fat middle man. Go to the mother source.

The traditional choice is a mid grey twill wool for odd trousers for use in the office. For casual wear, light grey flannel. Both, however, are very warm. I prefer high twist wool. But I have a length of grey wool twill on its way to me now for trousers. I suppose any good tailor can make good pants. I suggest you try Binwani. I had these made by ALT. I provided the cloth.

Cloth = "mid grey twill wool"
Mid grey because it goes with all manner of shirts. Twill because it is the strongest weave. A good tailor should understand this terminology.

I met Binwani's in-house tailor when I was there. I don't know how many tailors they have, but that indian guy seems like a nice guy.

I wouldn't let that guy come anywhere near me! He looks like the typical clueless tailor, someone who merely takes measurements. When I say Binwani, I mean the one at The Curve, not the one at Jln TAR. Added on April 27, 2010, 11:10 pm My ALT trousers. This post has been edited by kotmj: Apr 27 2010, 11:10 PM

He does seem like he knows a thing or two. We had a long chat. They are very Zegna-oriented (pays the rent).
But I've never seen a product of theirs.
Added on April 27, 2010, 11:29 pmWhat are you going to do with 0.2m of cloth?

im guessing the free 0.2m of cloth was a giveaway after purchasing their fabrics,,,e.g. we want 1.5m length of fabric, but the shop staff cuts for 1.7m length so we got an extra / bonus cloth
what kind of cloth is this?

QUOTE(crapoccur @ Apr 28 2010, 05:07 PM) I think these pictures show that one can look good in short sleeves provided it is very slim fitting and bespoke. RTW won't work with the super slim fit cut because it is very sensitive to the customers measurements.
