You all know I hate to brag and all that. I believe in keeping a low profile. But something needs to be said:

I have six packs.

I just checked in the mirror. All six of them visible. Just saying. smile.gif

Added on March 9, 2010, 9:51 pmOn June 1 2009, this was what I wrote on the Bodybuilding board:

"The reason I'm on a low carb diet is because I'm accumulating fat around the waistline. Out of the 8 or so pants in active duty, only 2 fit me now. I wish it was due to the muscles! One of those balanced but high calorie diets is OK for professional athletes whose job it is to eat and practise (imagine munching through 10,000 kcal), instead of attending meetings and telephoning, but for someone who works in an office, 1. it's impossible to eat that much if you're to keep up appearances and productivity and 2. the fat keeps piling on."

See, I used to be fat.

good achievement, ill need to shed 4-5inches at waist for six packs----how much fat have you lost since last year?

-----

i think fused shirts look better-----ive fused and nonfused shirts, the fused shirts look neater and cleaner especially for a person that doesnt wear ties

I lost 2 inches from my waist.

I shall see for myself if I like my collars fused or not. I have no non-fused shirts so far.

if i entered biggest loser asia, i probably won whistling.gif

---------------------

the shirt that i dissected has fused collar & cuffs

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

throughout its life, it has been machinewashed countless times,,,but the glue still going strong,,the lining and cotton fabric still stick together as one----infact i tried to pull them apart with full force but failed----

my own conclusion-----
1-the bad word about fused shirt is exaggerated-----if done properly fused shirt will last forever just like nonfused ones
2-the comment regarding fused shirt stiffness also exaggerated----its very defendant on the thickness of lining used,,,,soft lining will give soft feel and look, thick lining ofcourse will give stiff look---problem is company / tailor always use one type of lining for all clothes to save cost,,,same lining for shirts, same lining for jackets, same lining for pants----we should bring our own thinner lining for our shirts
3-overseas--- nonfused shirts will be charged extra because its rare---its a marketing gimmick,,,,for us if the local tailor charge the same be it fused or nonfused i guess it depends on customer preference-----

His standard workmanship is below Ah Loke's. But if you notice his labour-saving measures and confront him about them, he can make a very competitive shirt. But only if you point them out. Otherwide, you get a substandard product.

I just got a tailored shirt done from Fit & Match. Mind pointing out to me his labour saving measures?

I think we all know that modern fusibles are indestructible. As long as they are fused with a machine, not iron. The thing with non-fused lining is like the "floating" canvas in jackets: it's the traditional way of make. By wearing one, you immediately outclass everyone else in the room, which is a handy way of feeling superior.

BTW that collar is not the best implementation of a fused interlining. Ron cuts his lining on the bias for added stretch.

Ron uses only two types of lining: soft and stiff. If he uses the soft lining, you get "supersoft". If he uses the stiff lining, "medium". If he fuses two pieces of stiff lining to make one, you get something as hard as Calvin's when he sees Fusion[Ex] and vice versa.

If I tell you, he might get angry at me when I see him. "My production costs have just shot up! Everybody comes in here asking for super high-density sewing!"

The shirt isn't done yet. I think they're still soaking the interlining in goat's urine to prevent shrinkage.

Apparently, among other things.

Someone else is about to pull the trigger on another Dunhill kid mohair cloth to bring to ALT. It's also dark grey. You people should be thankful that I've helped eliminate black suits.

Town councils everywhere have been doing a very good job leading to a scarcity of mice.
