3 fly buttons are sufficient. I've never had this much trouble putting on a pair of pants.

Added on January 10, 2010, 4:19 pmThis pair of trousers are supremely comfortable. Those grandfathers knew what they wanted, all right. I think I'll have all my trousers made this way in the future. (suspender buttons are next) They're good for 13 hour international flights.

The grandma tailor called this "ku low foo".

^^Much narrower than mine, and very tapered. Low rise. Pretty Italian.

Very strange. Maybe just leave the fly open next time.

Oh well, maybe I'll just button 1 side and leave the other undone. I am going to try it with side buckles next time.

This was the inspiration for my trousers.

Ok i know the answer already. The buttons can be repositioned but the fake button holes cannot be recreated. Altering from the armhole retains the original button + fake hole design but will require more money and time. O well, better than nothing i guess.

I hope it's not another narrow point collar.

Why is that? Narrow is out? Hard to find narrow collar off the shelf nowadays.

It hides 80% of the beautiful tie knot that I've made. Narrow collars are everywhere. Just walk into any padini outlets.

Regarding the suit's sleeve, how much can it be shortened? My tailor told me 1.5 inches is the max but it is still about .5 inch too long... Can anyone verify this?

Thanks

The shirt is nice, but imperfect.

The shoulders are perfect, better than AL. He says this is a "straight" shoulder, though, despite my questioning, I couldn't make out the difference from my AL shirt. I will compare them tomorrow.

The flaws:

1. The armholes are too small and when I raise my arms forwards (driving a car) I can feel the back and bottom armsyce straining on my body.

2. Because the armoles are small, the sleeve is narrow. Too narrow. When I bend my arm, the cloth strains against my elbow.

Added on January 14, 2010, 11:26 pmI will definitely use Ron for my next shirt. Larger armholes should solve all the problems.
