QUOTE(phatwatch @ Jan 14 2010, 10:35 PM) Regarding the suit's sleeve, how much can it be shortened? My tailor told me 1.5 inches is the max but it is still about .5 inch too long... Can anyone verify this? Nah, i am doing a 2 inch. Should be fine. But u will lose some of the esthetic, like the fake sleeve opening. I had mine sewn dead. But i don't mind at all since when u reposition the buttons, its already obvious that the suit is a RTW, no point in hiding it. BTW, my suit is a skinny so sleeve width difference is not obvious too. Thanks |

It's very easy to lose fat. Eat a mild caloric deficit each day of around 300 kcal, do HIIT-style exercise at least once a week for metabolic conditioning, and lift weights in the gym 2-3X a week to prevent muscle atrophy.
Added on January 16, 2010, 9:38 pmAnd BTW, where did you buy that pair of kid mohair trousers? This post has been edited by kotmj: Jan 16 2010, 09:38 PM |

Thanks for the reply. 1.5 inch only need to remove 1 button? Must be a really big suit. U want to end up with 3 buttons? I rather reposition all 4 of them. Will post pictures much later, if u need them. |

It is already being shortened 1.5 inches without removing any buttons but i still want it .5 inch shorter. he say he had to remove 1 button in order to do that but he did not tell me that it is possible to reposition the buttons. Please share the pictures |

I answered the question you should have asked, but did not.
Letting out pants is simple. How much depends on the amount of inlay. Look inside your pants and you will see the inlay. Unless you're jind86, it should be obvious how much can be let out. Alteration tailors are the worst in the world. I no longer use them. I now use a small town tailor who makes pants and shirts and get her to alter my stuff. She's 50% more expensive than an alterations tailor but the workmanship matches, if not betters, the original. |

RM6 to shorten trousers instead of RM4, which is the standard price.
Added on January 17, 2010, 1:27 pmI wore my Ron shirt for the most of yesterday and it is quite comfortable, despite being tight around the armscye and the elbow. It has the most elegant collar+shoulder+sleevecap area of any shirt I own. I have yet to launder it so we shall see how the fabric holds up to laundering. I might want the torso wider and the armhole larger in my next shirt. This post has been edited by kotmj: Jan 17 2010, 01:27 PM |
