Just wanna see  what you guys think of this, i need a black suit - and i am on a short budget, manage to find one from M&S and i think it fits ok, maybe the length  of the sleeve needs some shortening, issue here is the pants, its a regular fit and it apepars to be very baggy

i am fat, and hence the bagy pants is just not what i should be having, but its suppose to have a matching pants. My current pants size is slim fit and fits me well, and this is the same brand as M&S

my issue here is is there any way i can alter a baggy pants to make the leg smaller?

the suit and matching is is 499 + 200 and this is 700 in total as compared to 1.5k onwards for a custom tailor made suit ...
*
as somebody who has bought multiple suits and jackets, i have now resort to owning 1 custom made suit only, cause you see, fitting is (almost) everything, if you don't get your suit / blazer to fit right, then nothing else matters

suggest you can survey and ask for quotation from a few custom tailors and get yourself a bespoke (means custom made) one

I did mine at esteem fashion (esteemfashiontailor.com) at PJ, price is reasonable, the tailor is an experienced one and give good advice to guide me the style i want

cheers

Finally received my first ever tailored shirt, after rejecting it twice and telling the tailor to redo some parts.

Now after 2nd wash:

Puckering at the yoke is quite bad. I did ask the tailor if he washed the fabric to pre shrink it before sewing, he said it wasn't necessary. It's my first shirt and it was just some no name house fabric so no big loss.

But next time I'll supply the fabric and wash it myself.

sharing my feedback on Tailor On Ten @ Bangkok

Highly recommended by expats there & the many raving reviews on the net.
Well here goes...

Nice bunch of guys there. Everyone was friendly courteous.

Did some sport jackets, shirts & pants.

Did 3 fittings for the Jacket and overall satisfied.
Shirts needed some alteration after 1 fitting, overall satisfied. Would rate it 9/10
Something amiss but probably due to my own ignorance when fitting. Tailoring was a great job.

Pants surprised me, the 1st fitting (completed) was sooo loose, as if it was a straight cut from waist down. (Hv told them wanted a slim cut)
Altered and sent to the hotel where I was staying. Due to time constraints, only manage to try it out when I was almost leaving.
Wasn't perfectly happy as it was not slim enough. Perhaps the Tailor & my understanding of 'how slim' was not the same.
Pants would rate it 8/10.

Still they told me to send it back & will do further alteration. At least still very responsible ppl.

Overall a good experience. Nice people, Nice place... just felt a little rushed but they are really very full & doesn't accept walk-ins.
Seen them turn so many ppl away.

Prices are not the 'Bangkok' cheap prices. Prices are fixed & listed on their website.
However, can say that the 'entry level' fabrics are already of very good quality.

Shirts crisp and comfortable.
Pants drapes with weight but are actually light & comfortable when on.

Didn't think the latest fashion haul thread would appreciate something like this so posting here instead.

Enough MOP buttons for 2 shirts. And needles to last me a lifetime. Lol.

Waiting for some thread to arrive then I can start my button replacement project.

Now to decide which shirts are worth the effort...

Can I know what other specification one should take note when commission a pant. So far what I want is following

1. No plead
2. Side adjuster
3. Button for suspender, no belt loop
4. Medium break with 1.5" cuff
5. Slim cutting, what are the recommended opening
6. Zip fly will do, button fly for the next
7. Is dark grey a good start?

What material is recommended as I want to wear it for work, don't want to light weight.

Heard quite a bit about them. What is the time frame from 1st appintment to 1st fitting, 2nd fitting, finished product?
Can they do within 2-4 days?
Have you made a suit with them ?

Hi, I am looking for a suit for my wedding end of the year, december. Most probably looking for a tailored one since I can use the suit for a long time.

I had a few recommendations from friends, but just asking here to see any other recommendations.

Budget maybe below RM2k for a full set?

Anyone heard from Ron Ng Tailor? A review: http://ruecardengineer.blogspot.com/2014/0...uit-ron-ng.html

And got ppl recommend me Wardrobe and Bespoke from 1U (but I think these 2 are over my budget)

Thanks in advance. smile.gif

And I just saw Star2.com show Lord's tailor: http://www.star2.com/style/men/2015/07/30/...eams-come-true/
