feel varies from cloth to cloth. the one above had the best handle and sheen.

i find 3 of the designs very inspired. not for those just building a wardrobe, but for those who have all the basics these are next level stuff.

How did you get these samples? I like the pale blue checkered cloth in the bottom photo.

Just went to Sg Wang Ray Tailor yesterday to tailored a white cuff link shirt.

Got him through a friend recommendation, so I pay a visit to him and chit chat a little bit.

So decided to try one piece first, shall update this thread again with photos once I collect it.

Please do tell. I am planning for a tailored cuff shirt as well.

Is the bottom 3rd one (black and white) a shirting material? I wonder how it would look like as a finished product?

It doesn't look so good as a shirt. Uniqlo has two shades of houndstooth in linen and I saw a young guy wearing it once on the street. Would be great as short pants though.

I received the cloth. It's a mid grey, and 10oz/sq yard. I thought I knew all along what 10oz cloth was, but i was overwhelmed by how heavy, how thick, how firm this cloth is. None of the bounciness and liveliness of Super 150's. Just dead, heavy cloth. It says superfine on the selvedge, and i can feel that the entire wool from the sheep was used. very traditional stuff. i don't think anybody makes cloth like this anymore. it doesn't feel luxurious. it feels like 70's Britain, with old draughty windows, old cast iron boilers for central heating, mini cooper, etc.

This is a profound question that deserves a deeply philosophical reply.

palace is very affordable, and that is why the nicer colours are constantly out of stock.

how the hell did your package from you know who arrive so fast? did you opt for more expensive shipping?

^You need to wear the shirt for us to evaluate the fit. But even so, a few things are obvious:

1. The sleeves are very baggy and consequently the armholes are humongous. Strangely, the torso is very tapered.

2. Never have your name embroidered anywhere visible to others. It is just tacky.

3. That cloth really, really needs to be preshrunk before being made up. You see the severe seam puckerings as a result of the fabric shrinking on its first wash.

4. Stitch density looks good, buttonholes are OK.
