kotmj,
Thank you so much for your constructive comments.
Will take note of the few points you highlighted for next tailor job.
The cloth material I must admit it's a normal type..so I believe shrinking is very much likely.

kenhm,
The shirt cost me around RM160 region.

Yes, I will put it on and do few more shooting for evaluation again.

hello everyone.

Need some advice on tailor made formal pants as i'm big sized.

What is the usual price for tailor made office slacks with low/mid quality of wool fabric ?

I've visited a shop in Wisma central beside KLCC. they quote me RM250 for wool fabric(made in italy or something like that) to be made into pants. Also quote me RM350 for another type of fabric. Unfortunately, i couldn't take the fabrics photo but it has repetitive vertical line(black/slightly grey) on a black fabric.

I was also told to check out Sparkman Shop for tailor made suits/pants.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. smile.gif

i made my suit at sparkman shop. it's my 1st and only suit so i cant compare with other tailors, but sure beats buying ready made ones smile.gif

that being said, i kinda slimmed down and the suit doesnt fit me anymore. if i were to make adjustments, around how much would it cost?

The sleeves are not as baggy as I'd thought, it's only the armholes which are low. The sleeve length is perfect.

The biggest flaw is the shoulder slope. The shirt's shoulders were cut for someone with square shoulders while you have sloping shoulders. This is the cause of the downward sloping creases across the upper chest emnating from the collar.

If the shoulder slope of the shirt corresponds with your shoulders, the upper part of the shirt will be very clean, like this

Went to MBT and had a shirt and trousers made. I have a big stash of shirtings and trouserings that I have to convert into wearable clothes.

hi littlebettle, the price is reasonable and still within my budget. I just tailor a trousers and will get it next week and will see how was the craftmanship before i go for my shirts there. The price he quote me is about 300 bucks per pair, shirt and trousers.

btw, looking at the small piece of sample fabric is too hard for me to imagine how the finished shirts looks like, scare to have the shirts that looks nice in fabric, but not nice when it done. any one of u experience that before? and any tips when choosing the pattern of the fabric? smile.gif

It's all depends which part of the shirt you noticed is big.

Best is put on and let the tailor to see and I believe the tailor know how to alter
