yeah. thats the thing... jz show which result is the best. but actually they really look at ur MUET cert. they look more to ur other academic results. MUET is just an unnecessary requirement that requires that u pass ur muet b4 graduation. really... its not important. u can ask many, and others will tell u the same.

for the nov 2008 muet, nobody in my coll got band 6 altho about 3 of those who got band 5 (around 10ppl) were only less than 10 marks towards getting band 6 ( me included
And I did not speak much during the speaking test (spoke full 2 mins for Part A, but only 1.5 mins out of 10 mins allocated for part B, group discussion) hence only got 31 marks for speaking. overall, its quite an ok result, and im satisfied, considering that many people got band 4 and 3. Added on January 18, 2009, 1:25 pmbtw, UM medic requires band 5? or is that just a rumour? coz im sure there band 4 is the minimum right? like said many times by various people, muet is needed to graduate from msian unis, but not necessary for admission......whether any unis puts mandatory muet band requirements for admission selection i am not aware, but i know ipta admits all, and provides remedial classes........

really? tat means with band 1 i can get into law course? hmm... sorry but i beg to differ. i mean the uni would rather take in a band 6 or 5 student than let a band 1 student in and waste a place right (wat if in the end he doesnt achieve band 5 at least , as required for law)?
and btw, unis do have muet requirements b4 admission. like for example UM 's general requirement is band 3( i guess). But for some critical courses, on the UPU website, its stated they require band 4. what i would like to know is would students with band 5 get selected over band 4 students? coz from what ive heard, muet is something which you only need to pass the minimum requirement for the course. in other words, according to some, whether one gets band 4, band 5 or band 6 doesnt matter.any UM med student here to clarify ( of coz dont count bumis in) ? QUOTE(Zoxoque @ Jan 18 2009, 11:20 PM) from what i know laa, muet needed for us to get bachelor degree cert, without muet we cant get it...and my question is, what is the minimum requirenment to get that cert? band 1?2?3?4?5?6? the answer is... clarify with your program coordinator. this is because, certain courses require a certain band in-order to fulfill their requirements. for some, their course only requires a band 3, some band 4, and mostly definitely all accept band 5. band 6 ar, its kinda tough to get, so... u know la, dun think any course needs band 6 as a min requirement. |
